Hools - Sunshine Live Mix Mission 2024

Es ist eine allgemein anerkannte Wahrheit, dass ein alleinstehender Maler, der über ein großes Talent verfügt, dringend einer Ehefrau bedarf – oder zumindest einer Geliebten oder einer Frau mit dem unwiderstehlichen Etwas, das ihn inspiriert. Und das nicht nur seine Augen anspricht, sondern auch sein Herz.

Frauen, die Maler zu ihren Höchstleistungen anregen, werden Musen genannt. „Erfinder“ des Begriffs „Muse“ waren die alten Griechen. In deren Mythologie waren diese neun Damen die Töchter des Göttervaters Zeus und der Mnemosyne, der Göttin der Erinnerung, und als Schutzgöttinnen der Künste jeweils einer anderen Kunstgattung zugeordnet. Wer von einer der Musen geküsst wurde, konnte sich glücklich schätzen – Katastrophen, wie eine Schreibblockade, rückten in weite Ferne.

Das Bild von der Musen hat sich seitdem  gewandelt, vor allem sind sie jetzt eindeutig irdischen Ursprungs. Nach wie vor kommen sie in allen Bereichen der schönen und bildenden Künste vor. Die von ihnen inspirierten Dichter widmen ihnen Poeme, Komponisten berührende oder mitreißende Melodien. Am greifbarsten werden die Musen jedoch im Bereich der Malerei und der Plastik, denn dabei sind sie nicht nur der gute Geist, der über dem Erschaffenen schwebt, sondern stehen uns plötzlich persönlich gegenüber.

So ganz werden die Musen ihren Hauch des Mysteriösen allerdings wohl nie verlieren, denn es bleibt immer die Frage: Was ist ihr Geheimnis? Was haben sie an sich, dass Maler zu ihren beeindruckendsten Werken inspiriert? Eine allgemeine Antwort gibt es da nicht. Denn wie jedes menschliche Wesen, ist die Muse ein Individuum mit einem ganz persönlichen Lebensweg.

Hools is a project formed out of a cloud of dust that began in 2018. An artist born in Argentina but living in the USA, Hools fell in love with electronic music at an early age. Hools finds purpose in bringing people together through rhythm, emotional recall, and recreating in the present those sublime feelings past and always treasured. 

Both in his own productions and careful dj sets, Hools' music is passionate, full of sensation, nostalgic yet uplifting; music that releases emotions and sets the listener on a journey. As a producer, Hools is meticulous and intentional, displaying honesty and truth, always evolving and treading new paths between genres. 

Since 2022, Hools has been living in Berlin, closer to the wellsprings of electronic music. Focusing on original productions at his studio on the historic Funkhaus complex, he draws inspiration from deeper involvement in the techno community, clubs, and festivals. For this year, you can expect captivating new music, more Beatport chart-topping releases, and continued support from some of the scene's most respected artists.

On 2024, Hools launched his own imprint, the label '23:59', a home for groove-focused, darkly stripped House and Techno rooted in the all-night ecstasy of Berlin’s underground club scene. Join Hools as our musical journey continues...
