The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his first appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick are fresh off the release of their ‘Land Of Dreams’ EP, coming courtesy of Warren’s The Soundgarden. Perhaps one of Nicolas’ most sought after tracks of late has been his private remix of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’. The Argentine’s fresh take on the piece has been a highlight and also frequently requested track in the sets of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now after much demand the track is finally available as an exclusive free download. We hope you enjoy it.

Bjork - Mutual Core (Nicolas Rada Remix)

The talented Serbian dj and producer, who is a regular on the label, returns to present us his "Superia" EP, which never ceases to amaze us with its quality of production and its recognizable stamp.

The lead track, “Superia”, is a bomb for the dance floor; loaded with the grooves and percussions that characterize the producer; he gradually introduces us to his contagious melodies, until reaching the climax where the main synthesizer appears, evolving throughout the track.

To continue with the EP, Coeus presents us "Frontier", the second track of the pack, in which once again the producer impresses us with his technique and quality, delivering some beautiful pads and melodies, to create another dance-floor heater.

Last but not least, "Floating Away" a deeper celestial cut, centered on beautiful chord progressions, that will transport you to a trippy state of mind.

Release Info: 
The first release of 2024 is quite a special one. Several Definitions is back on the label after his track on the latest VA. Now he brings us his 'Should We Given' EP, which includes two great remixes of debuting artists. The first one is by our Dutch friend Collé and the second one comes from the experienced Baime. The title track 'Should We Given' immediately sets the tone of this EP. The elements are nicely introduced during the intro, after which it gets cut down by the main groove. The high tension is guided by the mysterious voices and arp. Bringing it all towards a hard-hitting moment, you won't easy forget. In his remix Collé added a more swinging groove underneath some of the main parts of the original. Nevertheless, he managed to keep a lot tension by continuous make use of the vocal parts and ascending background atmospheres. The third track 'Intra Lumos' combines the darker low-freq elements with more euphoric synthwork. A track which consists of three parts. Where the middle part is the most impactful with twotight and sharp synths. The other parts are perfectly functioning as opposites with their blissful atmosphere. The final track of the EP is Baime his remix of 'Intra Lumos'. His characteristic raw lower components are accompanied by the more blissful elements taken from the original. He managed to keep the same structure, while making it a more vigorous composition.

Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran along with his partner Christina Acobiance. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
