Before you experience Burning Man, you always have an image of how it would be. After a couple days, I realised it was a lot different than I had imagined. Being in the middle of no where surrounded by dust, where everybody around you shares the same vibe and we all come together as one was like a dream. I wish I could live this dream forever. During my White Ocean set, the atmosphere around was shaking with a thousand voices; like that part of the song when the music stops and the voices die down, but a fragile few still float in the air.  It's a different planet. Without even realising, you connect with everything around you. Your music is asking questions and it's demanding for a story to be told. Thank you White Ocean and I can't wait to see you in the dust!

We are super excited to share with you all the recording of Sarkis Mikael's set at the Ritmos Da Terra event which took place on August 24th in Vancouver. 

Here is what Sarkis shared with us about his experience: 
65 min recording from my Vancouver debut hosted by the Perspectiv Arts (@perspectivarts ) family!
Had such a fun time playing to the super passionate and beautiful crowd after Perspectv Duo’s amazing set starting 12:30am.
Set is fueled with some unreleased music including a collab by Epstein & myself, Hrag Mikkel and collab between Rasi Z & Pandhora soon to be realeased on my label NCTRNL.
Hope you enjoy the ride, can’t wait to visit this gorgeous city again.

✦ It´s been 4 years I posted my last podcast. Since then I didn’t want to post any, the reason was that I wanted to come with a special one, a mix with my own music and some collaborations with my buddy Armen, all of them unreleased. 

 All this time I was working in the studio, the only thing I could do was create music due to my document issues. Not being able to travel.

Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran along with his partner Christina Acobiance. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
