Savvas delivers two stellar original tracks for his debut EP on Crossings. The dreamy Flying Heart was premiered at Crossings’ Off Sonar Get Together 2018 event, during sunrise, the first of many.   Parallells built on its key components and produced an insightful remix, adding energy while retaining the beauty of the original melody. Vander and Joe Finch’s remix is brilliant - simple and elegant, all the while remarkably powerful and festive.

Dream on Clouds is equally wonderful – a mesmerising summer track with ever evolving pads and a soothing melody. Last but not least, Death On The Balcony created yet another astonishing piece, a perfect combination of groove and melody, with a finely crafted loopy structure in which no one part dominates.

Savvas - Dream On Clouds (Death on the Balcony Remix)

Here we have one huge collaboration! On one side we have Romanian artist @Brossmusic , which, as you know, snapped out a release for, probably at the moment, one of the strongest labels on the world, All Day I Dream, and on the other, experienced deep and progressive house producer, also head manager of The Purr, Marijan Raskovic aka @jellyforthebabies. The symbiosis of ideas of these two performers has led to the fact that we can enjoy listening to a song called "Alhena". Just one important point, which led to this song being made: "Gamma Geminorum, formally named Alhena is the third-brightest object in the constellation of Gemini." It was Alhena who was the inspiration for the melodies that accompany the already recognizable rhythms and moments of recent deep house music, so you can easily conclude who was in charge of what in this song. Perfect combination, no doubt! For such a good song we had to choose the remixers carefully, where on remix duty we have superstitious duo LADS, who were making their great appearance on Lost & Found, and, our crucial member of the family, OHMZ!

Hoomidaas Records is the record label of the DJ/artist/producer/multi-instrumentalist Armen Miran along with his partner Christina Acobiance. The word Hoomidaas is a stylized acronym for the phrase “who made us”, paying homage to how past narratives shape the present moment. Armen states, "I would not be who I am if it wasn’t for my past." This shows that he holds a deep respect for experiential knowledge above all else and intends to capture that through this label venture. Furthermore, when isolated as “hoom” in Armenian it means “raw” and when artists are invited to be a part of Hoomidaas releases Armen asks them to imagine what the raw part of the sun (the other side of the sun that we cant see) would look like. He loves to challenge their perspectives and hear what experiential wisdom emanates from his fellow creators. 
 
The music, artists, and artwork/design are a huge priority for Armen. His mission is to hand-craft every aspect of Hoomidaas adding to its memorable intrigue via his experiences travelling and playing shows. He tells us that, "a few years ago I played a 12 hour set surrounded by the most beautiful artwork all over the walls of the space. That space is called Rambalkoshe. Since then we have been collaborating with Rambalkoshe and they’re who made our vision and art design come to life for many of the illustrations associated with the label." The synchronistic nature of the partnerships he embarks on are a strong indicator that intuition combined with drive can take you somewhere truly magical. 
 
Currently the label works with a handful of artists. They have each of their artists release a mix on their mix series called “Midaas” which comes out every two months. Additionally the label releases bi-annual compilations, one in the summer called “Hoom Side of the Sun” and one for the winter called “Hoom Side of the Moon”.
