This is a special song to me, on an even more special day. As a man, I often feel I forget to pay attention to the important women around me. Although I love them with all my heart, my vision sometimes blurs to what they battle internally. In my life there have been women who have built me from the ground up, while breaking down on the inside. To those who went through so much but chose to give me so much more, to those who nurtured me through my deepest fears and insecurities, without you I’d be nothing.
So here’s to those women like my mother, Nadia Ibrahim. You taught me that sometimes, those who provide the most positivity, may be dealing with the most negativity. Here's my latest single 'living inside'. ‘The song is about spiritual growth, but rather then focusing on the more elating aspects of the experience, it sheds a light on the pain attached to the process. this quarantine i ran out of distractions and more importantly excuses, forced to sit with my thoughts i started uncovering the roots to my dissatisfactions.
