Toddchelle will be starting medical school in the summer of 2021. She is the Director of Research for the Hub for Equity and Innovation in Higher Education at Georgetown, overseeing research, data analytics, and strategic higher education initiatives. This woman of faith came to know Christ at an early age but as a teenager found her life stifled by negative inner self-talk. She recalls constantly telling herself, “you are not loveable.” This inner toxicity plagued her life with suffocating anxiety and depression until one day she decided she wanted MORE out of life. For over 15 years, Robyn tried therapy, self-help books, and medication. Though it helped, none of it really worked to help her create the life of peace and calm that she wanted. It wasn’t until she decided that she could tell herself a different story that everything changed.
Today, Robyn lives free from eleven prescription medications, and has lost 70 pounds.  She also lives free from the crippling depression and the nagging anxiety. She proudly boasts about wanting the same for everyone she encounters. She goes on to say that she has dedicated her life to helping other women overcome so they can live out their birthright of freedom, peace, joy and fulfillment without taking 15 years to get there. This woman of faith is also an outdoor enthusiast, a single Mom to an amazing boy she adopted at birth, as well as a Certified Life Coach, Speaker, Mentor and Overcomer.
This episode is A DOSE OF HOPE FULL and explains what it takes to decide NO MORE! No more hurt, no more pain, no more anxiety, No! No more victim mentality. Chinnita Morris, formerly known as “Chocolate” is a veteran comedian with over 30 years’ experience in the industry. She loves what she does and does it well. Chinnita is a Christian comedian who unashamedly represents Christ with her gift. But it wasn’t always that way. She began her comedy career November 27,1990 at the famous Comedy Act Theatre in Atlanta, Ga. And for 8 years she enjoyed great success in the secular arena and was a regular on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam and BET’s Comic View.
She became one of the beloved comics on the circuit and her star was rising faster than she could keep up. Chinnita found herself living this unbelievable life of first-class flights, fancy hotels, and limousine pickups to get on stage and get paid to do something she loved to do, COMEDY! MAKING PEOPLE LAUGH! She always knew she wanted to be an entertainer, but never thought that far ahead about fame, fortune and all the luxuries that come with being in the entertainment industry. She just wanted to do comedy. Life was GREAT! Coming from incredibly humble beginnings, this was more than she’d ever dreamed of. One day when Chinnita was picking up her 2-year-old daughter from her nanny who often took her to church with her, she heard the pastor say that “only what you do for Christ will last”. This pricked Chinnita’s heart, and she began to dialogue with God and ask what it meant, because she believed she did a good thing by making people laugh. The Lord spoke to her spirit and clearly said “you don’t do it for my glory”. Unchurched, Chinnita didn’t even know what doing anything for God’s glory meant. But she had a love for God and that night realized that she wasn’t living for Him at all, she was living for herself. That night she’d gotten an undeniable revelation and had a decision to make. That night She chose Christ! She is here as our INSPIRATIONAL PERSON OF THE DAY!
