Robert Blum (10 November 1807 – 9 November 1848) was a German democratic politician, publicist, poet, publisher, revolutionist and member of the National Assembly of 1848. In his fight for a strong, unified Germany he opposed ethnocentrism and it was his strong belief that no one people should rule over another. As such he was an opponent of the Prussian occupation of Poland and was in contact with the revolutionists there. Blum was a critic of antisemitism, supported the German Catholic sect, and agitated for the equality of the sexes. Although claiming immunity as a member of the National Assembly, he was arrested  in Vienna, where he participated in defending the city against royalist troops at arms and executed for his role in the Revolutions of 1848 in the German states.

Earth Patriot plays #BcRich guitars on most tunes trough #Marshall Heads. I do grungy melodic Alternative Rock with mostly three different guitars, have a mixed ethnical background and come  from the north of europe where the light is rare. 

#altleft or indi always. and basically always pro american, deeply influenced by the second wave of western punkrock and grunge that flooded the networks in the 90ies.

Generally most of the Music published and reposted here could be considered as #AlternativeRock , #POD-Rock, #Melodic-Punk or #Indie , but I like other rock genres, acoustic guitars and other genres generally as well.

#BcRich guitars are played on all EP and many SoD tunes.

politically I support the Christian Southern Sudanese in their Battle Against Arapia and imperialistic China.
I hope the US will finally take the Chinese threat much more serious. a world more Chinese is a world less free and with less not more fairness and solidarity.

Joe and Barry met in 2003, near Portsmouth, when they both started studying a BTEC in music together. After completing the course in 2005, they remained good friends even when Joe moved back to Birmingham. Joined by a love of music and sport, using both as an excuse to meet up as much as possible. Over the years they have played music together on and off, whether it was local gigs in Birmingham or recording new music. Due to the distance, playing new music was difficult to do regularly. In 2019, they recorded a 4 track EP. It was released in March 2020 and gives an introduction to the current line up of Hope Street. 

Early into the Covid lockdown in 2020, Joe and Barry, now both armed with recording software, started sending demos to each other. They quickly realised that they had a collection of songs that they were happy with and started working towards recording the 11 track album Silence & Chaos, scheduled to be released in December 2020. Uploading the songs as they were individually finished to Soundcloud and Instagram and receiving mostly good comments from the online community, 

Hope Street are looking forward to the future and are already working towards their next project.
