Hopetone is a factory, a label factory! Born in Sardinia, a lovely but hard to live Island in the center of the mediterranean sea, we hope to produce good music for good hears, by genuine musicians for enthusiast listeners! 

Hopetone nasce in un isola al centro del Mediterraneo, dove son passati un pò tutti, romani, arabi, bizantini, vandali, spagnoli, americani e chissà chi altri. Qualcosa dev’essere rimasto se oggi, tra il contrasto dell'isolamento e del colonialismo, il panorama musicale è altrettanto vario, esteso, bizzarro.

L’idea di Simone S. di far nascere un’etichetta discografica, è un po’ il desiderio di dare voce a questa eterogeneità di generi e talenti. Dopo vent'anni da musicista e con una sfrenata passione per la registrazione audio, nata coi primi esperimenti fatti con le cassettine col nastro tagliato e riattaccato per formare dei loop o dei patchwork di canzoni diverse, e dopo anni di studio ed esperienza, ha deciso di entrare più a fondo nel campo della produzione audio riunendo alcuni dei talenti sardi in campo musicale e non solo.

Hopetone vuole partire da questo posto caratterizzato da mille contraddizioni, collaborando con musicisti che affiancano le capacità ad un eclettismo di fondo per fornire un supporto per la realizzazione di registrazioni che rispecchino veramente le intenzioni dell’artista, seguendolo in tutti i passaggi, dall’idea fino al disco stampato e distribuito.
