Pascal Ouandji, better known by his stage name Hopiho, is a Cameroonian rapper & songwriter who has worked with and alongside many names both in the local industry (here in Kenya), as well as abroad.

Now settled in Nairobi, Hopiho has been working towards creating a sound that can be enjoyed by enthusiasts in his new host country; he says that “although I rap mostly in French, I find that Kenyans, and indeed all people, enjoy good music. I do agree that there is a language barrier, but I feel I can overcome this, by fusing my own sound, with the various local content, through various collaborations and other ventures”…

Hopiho’s subtle punchlines are often integrated with Zouk, Coupe Decale and R&B to create an Afro Fusion Hip Hop that anyone can relate to. Although his message is most often in french, he is bridging the cultural gap with his melodies and bass that one can only bump to.

In June 2007, the Cameroonian rapper launched his second mixtape The Hopiho Show, featuring numerous guest artists such as his 8e Art comrades  (Oriki, Hermes, Fluggy, Marco Brown), Koudjo, Epsi and J-Ver.
