"Careless Over Coward" is my way of telling you, my listeners, that when you find love or something that feels like love, it's better to risk it all rather than regret not taking action.

I felt a tingle with a person I was in a casual relationship with. This tingle forced me to confront my fears and the insecurities I carried with me from past relationships. 

I asked myself "should we try and risk a disaster" or "do I leave? Do we close this chapter?" and these lyrics consumed me for MONTHS. 

Finally, I confronted this person that gave me all these butterflies and tingles. 

To be honest, before this confrontation, I had been very vocal that I wanted to be out of a relationship for three years. Lol. 

But we spoke, and that's when I asked myself, "is it careless to fall in love? Or is it coward to not give enough?" 

I have my answer now. In my 7-month relationship and a partner that makes me very, very happy. 

I hope you love this song. I hope I encourage you to risk everything and I hope you never regret waiting.

It forces you to reassess yourself. It exposes your insecurities and your loneliness. It triggers feelings of failure and makes you question your character. 

Love is honest. 
It forces you to grow. To become aware of what you require for peace. It creates a need for balance. It pushes you to challenge your insecurities and to prioritize the presence of someone else. You learn the power of choice.
