Exclusive: Cap - Live from Mioritmic Festival 2017

Next Saturday is not Premiesku’s first time here in Farringdon. They’ve previously showcased their live show with us, but this time they bring us even more gear. The Bucharest-based trio have custom built and modified their equipment, and they will be gracing the stage in Room One. Their sound is characterised by an unmistakable swung groove which stands them apart from some of their fellow countrymen. Ahead of their return alongside Rhadoo, Sammy Dee and Junki Inoue next weekend, they sent over a typically rolling mix to build our anticipation.

It is such a great pleasure to present you with the first Guesthouse Podcast along with other aspects which we will be bringing out this week such as our brand new website and blog.

To start things off, we have who is, one of the most understated and respected artists in our scene, Rhadoo, to provide us with a recording of his fabric set when the club turned 19 years old last October. A lot could be written and said about this artist who is so outstanding, unique and historically relevant to minimalism, however, in order to be in line with his identity and his understatement we will let the music speak for itself. 

We would like to thank fabric for granting us this recording and wish them a great night this Saturday as they have their annual RPR Soundsystem gathering. 

Back here in Bucharest, we will be celebrating with a stellar line up including Charlie, Christopher Ledger, Inner, Junki Inoue, Kozo, Praslea and Vera.

While on holiday at the beginning of last year, it dawned on me that although I’ve been playing in LA since the early ‘90’s, I’d never done an open to close set here. And over the years I’ve watched as my good friend Kobi Danann has transformed Sound Nightclub into THE definitive clubbing experience in the city; carefully studying the variety of DJs who come thru its doors and meticulously tweaking every aspect of the venue. So naturally at the end of that epic all nighter we decided to make it a yearly tradition.
