In Her Hate - You Can't Change The Past

The synthetic drug is in full effect, warping your perception and melting the walls.  Rippling lights stream across the seams.  The drug wears and the blurred edges come back into focus.  The memories rush up once more.. as you grab another synth chip your hands shake tremendously.  You can't even grip the next hit.  The shaking rises from your hand, up your arm, into your torso and brain.  The Black Shakes.  Too much time in the grid has finally taken it's toll.  The shaking finally stops and you exit the drug den into the streets.  You vomit and your eye implant almost pops out.

The next song is by SNFF from the Russian Federation.  The haunting chants and reverberating rhythms take control of your body and induce bouts of dancing.  The progression takes you from one place to the next, always shifting the song when you get comfortable.

SNFF - The Black Shakes

You grip the blazing feeling of fire in your abdomen.  It's wet.. blood.  The silhouetted figure turns and leaves... the bright lights shut off.  You gasp for breath as you bleed out in the streets.  Your last thoughts are how you've only made that which killed you, even stronger.  You were used in a simulation and showed them their weakness.  As the world fades to black, the Earth soaks up your blood like a sponge, that everlasting leech.

VictheWic brings a dark and heavy sound, warping and twisting it to his will.  Reminiscent of Rezz or 1788-L, Vic manages to fashion a soundscape unlike any other.  We love the progression of the song, especially how it evolves in the end.

VicTheWic - Leech

A seeker drone leaves HQ on it's programmed path.  Hovering over the neon glow of the city, algorithms highlight a particular figure vomiting in the streets, with a fast heart rate and other markers of stress that signal a warning to the drone.  The drone closes in on it's subject and shines a bright light on the figure in the rain.  With his hand blocking the light he assesses the probability of success... He runs.  The drone pursues. 

Thanks to Synthwave Radio for this amazing addition from Lost Project.  This song is the epitome of synthwave and cyberpunk wrapped into a beautiful gem.  This is the perfect song for a sunset drive on a cool Summer night, windows low like the Sun.

LOST PROJECT - Watching You (Remastered)

You awake to the sound of blaring horns.  You lift yourself up and are astonished to see yourself in a prison cell.. the door hangs open.  Men rush by your cell with weapons, fire and madness in their eyes.  One of the inmates rushing by stops and claps their hands in front of you.  "You with it?! We gotta' go! Get up, move!  MOVE!"  Guards and other bodies lay beneath billowing clouds of acrid smoke, you fall to the floor and start to crawl to freedom, hacking and coughing.  As you exit the chaotic inner chambers, rain and fresh air smash your senses.   A car honks in the distance and your partner yells as he runs towards it "Let's go!".  

Supermax Riot is a song full of intense energy and incredible production.  The warping rhythms move around in your head causing a chaotic blend of unnatural sounds.

Starcross - Shodan Sabotage

You run to the nearest subway, drones have a hard time in closed quarters.  You hear the spinning blades get closer and closer and you slip down the rainy steps.  Just your luck, the next metro arrives.  You jump in just in time, as the metro closes it's doors.  The drone follows the train down the tracks and signals HQ to cut the power.  The metro comes to a screeching halt and the lights flicker then go out.  You shatter the window and leap into the dark tunnels.. there is a light and and echo.

We're proud to add BLΛCK NOIZE to the line up as he completely killed it.  METRO is an amazing song with urgency and tension that builds to punctuated hard hitting leads.

BLΛCK NOIZE - METRO

The passenger door slams shut, the car spits up mud and gravel as it takes off away from the glowing red clouds of smoke from the fires.  Distant screams are muted by the engine of the car.  In all the chaos, drones and black cars burst out of the prison courtyard and start gaining on your escape vehicle.  As you enter the urban streets at unthinkable speeds, you manage to lose the black cars.  Drones remain close by as you pull into a makeshift garage, made from tarps, sheet metal and other garbage.  "Get out, quick."  A door is opened by the driver to a dark room, barely lit by monitors and other blinking lights.

The Nexus is grateful for the addition of XIANTZ's Yare Yare Daze - once again, another perfectly themed song for our Cyberpunk compilation.  The synth is so dirty yet so wonderful.  Such simplicity wrapped in genius.

XIANTZ - Yare Yare Daze

You slink into the tunnel away from the drone and the darkened train. A new blinking light and echoing voice entice you forward. The Black Shakes are almost fully gone. Lethargy kicks in and you don't know if you can make it down the hall. You crawl froward, at the feet of an ominous figure, she calms you down and lulls you to sleep.. as your lids close she is grabbing wires from a nearby terminal and reaching the back of your head.

SIMULACRA is happy to have TENEBRAX share his phenomenal tune Lethargy with us. Amazing production and technical skills elevate this song to lofty heights and truly represent the cyberpunk genre.

The empty streets, the ghost malls and howling wind.  Sparse lights dot the lanes as you peer through your tinted bulletproof windows.  The gang factions have replaced the cops that were once at every corner.  The city has become a prison with the people held hostage in their own homes, afraid to leave but complacent with technological wonders.  When the night drops all hell breaks loose as rival territories expand and contract, blood fills the sewers.  Gun shots, like thunder echoes through the concrete canyons.  Get out.
