This is the first album of my long time project. Made with some the finest musician available in my region, it is the sum of a journey through music, composition and inspiring life experiences.
Every song's title represents a precise mood and story "behind the scenes".

Elena - Paolo Zardo

HORIZON is the result of previous music bands and experiences gained during seminars and meetings with various jazz teachers mentors and musicians.

The project proposes the revised concept of the classic trio, but without the help of a physical bass player, using instead bass synths, keyboards and the Hammond to give a more electric and fresher flavour to the sound.

Part of the song-set are original compositions approaching the contemporary jazz, looking at the current US trends and includes different influences like bossa nova, funk, blues, free - jazz and a bit of rock without forgetting to re-arrange some classic and modern jazz standards.

The aim is to tell small stories, playing a music which is born from personal experiences and feelings and embraces different moods.

The group, which was founded by Paolo Zardo and Alessandro Scolz, is active since 2007 and has performed in various regional areas in Italy and Austria.
