Alex Levin joins for DifferentSound Podcast #085.

Alex Levin has been involved in electronic music since his early years. He has built a reputation in the Tel Aviv nightlife scene with his soulful, hard techno; Through his adventurous sets as a resident of Tel Avivs foremost queer party PAG. He also frequently played at the Block and numerous underground parties in Tel Aviv. Upon moving to Berlin  Alex has consolidated his reputation at Berghain and their bi annual party Snax. During lockdowns he has expanded his musical repertoire.
In this mix Alex brings a balance between drive and softness. Taking us on an afterhours ride through soundscapes, From a big room setting to deepness, emotion and space.

Natif de Tourcoing dans le nord de la France, située entre Lille et la frontière belge. En 1988 à l'âge de 15 ans il découvre la radio SIS Mouscron (Belgique), le son de la techno de Chicago et Detroit, qui avait submergé toute l'Angleterre et qui déferlera sur la Belgique.

Déjà fortement influencé par la Soul, la Funk, le Hip Hop, l'Electronica et la Cold Wave le poussent au fil des années à devenir tourneur de disques dans diverses soirées, clubs, bars en France, Belgique et Allemagne et à travers plusieurs émissions radio pour partager sa passion pour l'électronique. musique et se connecter avec des personnes partageant les mêmes idées, il continue d'explorer le côté plus profond de la musique électronique, jouant de la techno influencée par Detroit jusqu'à la deep house.

Son voyage en tant que DJ a élargi son horizon à la production, il a travaillé sur de nombreux projets et remixes.

Hometown Tourcoing in northern France, located between Lille and the Belgian border. In 1988 at the age of 15 he discovers radio SIS Mouscron (Belgium), the sound of Chicago and Detroit techno, which had submerged the whole of England and which will sweep over Belgium .

Already heavily influenced by Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Electronica and Cold Wave push him over the years to become as record spinner in various parties, clubs, bars in France, Belgium and Germany and through several radio programmes to share his passion for the electronic music and connect with like minded people, he continues to explore the deeper side of electronic music, playing Detroit influenced techno through to deep house.

His trip as DJ has widened up his horizon to the production, he worked in many projects and remixes.

Choć ten radosny koleżka wdarł się szturmem na krakoską scenę raptem parę lat temu, szybko stało się jasne, że to właściwy gość na właściwym miejscu. Reprezentujący ekipę SZOK (https://soundcloud.com/szokkato) https://soundcloud.com/czlowiekbaklazan znany jest z precyzyjnego miksu i wyczucia drajwu, zaś jego selekcja jest równie szeroka jak spektrum zastosowań sympatycznego fioletowego warzywa, które udzieliło mu ksywki (próby rebrandingu nie powiodły się - i dobrze). Na nasze zaproszenie Oberżyn prezentuje się dziś w wersji baba ghanoush: czarujący egzotyką miks jest gładki i lekkostrawny, ale też podpalany i z charakterkiem. W miłej naszemu uchu trackliście figurują m.in Marco Shuttle, Donato Dozzy, Abulla Rashim, czy Evigt Morker. Na miniaturce obrazkową instrukcję obsługi seta prezentuje sam autor.
