In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, 
(But it's clear that it's the jester pulling the strings, )
Threads of truth unravel, in a public charade, 
When the fool's the one whose leading the parade
Promising dreams with threads unmade. 
The emperor strides with hollow grace, 
Fear holds the tongues that bloat on waste, 
Hiding the truth of his disgrace.


In painted suits, the Jesters rise,
(Their mask obscures their eyes,)
But can't conceal their appetites, 
(Bitter truths yield to honeyed lies,)
And No matter who wears the crown, 
But when the palace is full of clowns, 
They make a circus of the throne, 
Quantity has a quality of its own,
