Side a. 'GOLDEN SKY' - Deep beautiful intro sounds lead into a neat 2020s 'Liquid' fresh beat. Shuffles and a funky bass grooves take you on an ecstatic journey ,a golden sky sensation to the next level - this is Drum & Bass 2023 style !!!.

Super proud to introduce this special 12" by UK Liquid Funk pioneers HIDDEN AGENDA. I first heard there music on Fabio's February 1995 Kiss FM show, taping from Leighton Buzzard with my parents JVC tuner I acquired a crystal clear recording. I had it playing on my walkman non-stop as my sound track for months on end - deep minimal Jungle had arrived. Hidden Agenda next hit us super hard by surprise in the winter of 2003 - I was DJing in a squat at East Finchley late (A disused car show sales room) on London's Rude FM 88.2 back to back when DJ Haze played this 12" that sent me totally hyper, uponon enquiring who the tune was by it turned out to be Jason's 'Groove Me' on Eastside Recordings, so hyped was I that DJ Haze gave me that very copy on the spot !. In 2015 Mudfoot Blaps introduced us to Jason at Greys Club in Newcastle - buzzing I got his autograph. 2020 during lock-down Jason sent us two tunes which I was feeling and we arranged to hook up this long awaited dream 12". I went onto paint a huge epic 200x200cm oil / acrylic painting to be photographed for the cover. Set in the South Bronx 1978 ( which is the title of the Side AA.) - a train Rolls over RAE ST with a semi-wild style piece which reads HIDDEN AGENDA - GOLDEN SKY with a mini 1978 piece also sprayed on the bridge.

Horrific Recordings  are very proud to announce Dissect’s 1st outing onto vinyl with this double sider from the life  long Londoner . I met Dissect in 2001 when I was DJing on Rude FM 88.2 one Saturday night. Dissect was in training on the Technic’s & soon joined us as a full time DJ on the station. By 2003 he was making his 1st beats which were an instant hit to my  amenistic ears. By 2005 he had made ‘Chinese Blossom’ which I still play. Dissect is  a proper dedicated head , so when Horrific started up in 2014 we approached him for some deadly beats & the man came through with plenty of killers. ‘Bad Man Sound’ is post post modern Junglistic Hardcore , all the elements of a mid 1993 Randall Awol  set selection are in this riddim track.

Written, produced , engineered + mixed by Horrific James @ Horrific Studio's London.  Hand drawn label artwork well 'Hardcore innit' made for this side by James Jessop under the Invisible man's magic influential spell the originator DR G ( Big respects to Graham full moons ahoy) .
Recorded in Fish Island Village E3 ! east London posse in da place $$$  . Horrific James went to his first rave in 1992 ( Dreamscape II) age 17  = the 'horrific  sound'  deep rooted in his UK life long raving  passion/heart on sleeve approach. 1992 vetrans heritage society.
 93 style break beats quantised raw and gritty rolling @ 174bpm remote controlling EXS24 cru get raw . Since late 1999 Total Science / Phantom Audio showed the way for 174bpm vinyl post  hardcore Junglism... darkness returned phew :-).
James builds using FM8 atmospherics + soundscapes crafted / layerd up. An epic  vocal hits the drop 'Oh no no...' drums switch to 'rough to the smooth' flavours,  one of the rarer break beats cut up bites in  for the drum heads . 
Electronica stabs created fresh in massive sampler + bassline from the massive clean = something fresh & unique to your ears in this current over sampling of previous classic/oldies which  current trending ,time for a treat for  some freshness for your ears this summer 2018 yes  /// this first of many solo projects forthcoming from Mr Horrific . In an era when there's no secrets left on how to make this special music left. Soul/hyper active mind cannot be taught via youtube tutorial, vibes come from within.
