The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Ōtone. "Slice (Go Hiyama Remix)" comes off the new release, Sliced Remixed, forthcoming on YGAM. Originally released as part of Catartsis & Ōtone’s “Mechanical Gesture” split EP in 2020 on Obscuur Records and reissued as a 12” record in 2021, Ōtone’s “Slice” has since been summoned into the sets and ears of a myriad of DJs and dancers. Now, the track gets a much welcome remix treatment resulting in an eclectic gathering of breakbeat, techno, and hyperpop chimaeras through which recordings of cutting engines swirl anew thanks to the craft of Sister Zo, Go Hiyama, Lara David, Yogg, Neve, and Catartsis. Today we premiere the heavy hitting Go Hiyama remix.

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) was born in Osaka, and then first contacted with Electronic Music in the early 90s.

In the late 90s, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro Music.

As soon as he got back, he started to DJ at several locations and eventually learned to produce at the same time. After that, he released on such labels as: LK Rec, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, to name but a few.

In 2011, Ryuji started his own imprint called 'Local Sound Network / LSN' as a platform for new generation of electronic sound which following words can appropriately describe: driving,hypnotic, atmospheric, emotional, groovy, funky… and any other aspects that rock from brain to the dance floor.

Also, Ryuji kicked off another brand new label called 'HueHelix / HHX' as a new platform, which discloses something new,only represented by HueHelix, together with Go Hiyama, Tomohiko Sagae and Kazuya Kawakami, in order to push quality music with global standard from where sun rises.

In 2012, Ryuji launched 'Local Sound Network Digital Solutions / LSNDS' series in need of discovering and introducing wider range of electronic music, aiming at dropping unique audio output while it’s hot. Music style varies. All top quality output from new and established producers all over the world.

Substencia is a musician, producer and DJ based in Paris. Her music-loving background soon led her to get involved in the electronic scene in various forms: labels, webzines, and event organization. Since 2017, she has been creating dark industrial techno music productions, infused with a lot of cinematics, collages, noise, released on with several EP's, compilations and remixes on labels as Instinkt, Coup, Subverted, Culture of Violence, Durch, Drec, or Swedish label Kallkällan where she released in 2022 her third EP supported by many international artists. Highly personal and instinctive, her approach to music has developed over the years through constant practice and listening. Pure industrial music, dark ambient, neofolk, 90’s techno and baroque music: her many influences give to her DJ sets a cinematic, organic and intense dimension.
Substencia regularly shares her passion for music across France, and has performed at parties and festivals such as Château Perché and FIFIB in Bordeaux, as well as iconic clubs in Europe, including Tresor in Berlin, Elipamanoke in Leipzig and Moog in Barcelona.
Since 2021, she has been part of the post-industrial noise duo Kabocha, who released their first EP, 'Human Exceptionalism', on their own label in April 2023 and they played several live performances in Paris.
Recently she launched a YouTube channel named “RUST”, a new webzine dedicated exclusively to alternative electronic music, with interviews and more to come.

New Resident ! 


FR - Animalist est un DJ originaire de Strasbourg. C’est en arpentant les salles de concerts qu’il développe son amour pour la musique, toujours à la recherche de nouveauté. Attiré par les énergies intenses, c'est du métal dont viennent ses principales influences. Des groupes comme Amenra ou Neurosis, aux morceaux à la fois incisifs et mélancoliques, sont pour lui des références et ont participé à la création de sa palette sonore.

En 2019, il découvre le club strasbourgeois Kalt et les soirées techno, qui lui ouvriront de nouveaux horizons musicaux. Il commence le mix trois ans plus tard, avide de partager sa passion et ses trouvailles avec le public. 

Envoûté au départ par la hardtechno, c'est finalement dans l’ebm et la techno mentale qu'il se retrouve. Il aime particulièrement mélanger les genres durant ses sets et y ajouter des sons de wave ou de post punk afin de proposer des moments aussi percutants que dansants. 

En 2024, il rejoint le collectif strasbourgeois WIR dont il deviendra résident. 


EN - imalist is a DJ from Strasbourg. His love of music developed as he wandered the concert halls, always on the lookout for something new. Attracted by intense energies, his main influences come from metal. Bands such as Amenra and Neurosis, with their incisive yet melancholy tracks, are references for him and have helped to create his sound palette.

In 2019, he discovered the Strasbourg club Kalt and its techno nights, which opened up new musical horizons for him. He began mixing three years later, eager to share his passion and his discoveries with the public. 

Initially enchanted by hardtechno, it's finally in ebm and mental techno that he finds himself. He particularly enjoys mixing genres during his sets, adding wave or post-punk sounds to create moments that are as hard-hitting as they are danceable. 

In 2024, he joined Strasbourg's WIR collective, becoming its resident.

“Ximo Noguera started DJing in 1991, attracted by the vibrant electronic scene in Valencia in the late 80s. His interest in EBM led him to explore other styles such as downtempo, psy trance, break beat, electro, IDM, trip-hop and minimal. Currently, his acts are divided into two types of DJ sets: a dancefloor-oriented style
ranging from experimental techno to industrial, and another type of set that focuses on experimental genres such as ambient or advanced electronic music. As a DJ, it should be noted that selection and technique are his two strong pillars.

Since 2013, together with Jesús Sierra, he has been in charge of NXT recordings, a techno-oriented label, as well as being the owner of Industrial Complexx, a platform he founded in 2019 and which operates as a record label, publishing house, webzine and event coordination linked to his activity. Industrial Complexx is also his current alter ego.

His music has been released on labels such as NXT recordings, HC Records, ART21, Industrial Complexx, Volumens and Soil Records, as well as editing books on bands and artists such as Esplendor Geométrico, Absolute Body Control, German Army, The Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Hainbach, Nostalgie Éternelle, Opéra Multi Steel, Miclono, AtomTM and Orphx.”

It featured notable techno artists such as Dasha Rush, Surgeon, Dimi Angelis, Stanislav Tolkachev, SpeedyJ, Jeroen Search, and more talented musicians. 

In 2023, we're proud to present our next anti-war compilation "HI", featuring a stellar lineup of artists: Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Jonas Kopp, Mike Parker, Sleeparchive, D-Leria, Developer, Conceptual, Steve Bicknell, Yan Cook, Ben Pest, Zadig among others. This release, distributed by Triple Vision in April 2024, will be available in all major online stores. All proceeds from sales of the compilation will directly support the Hospitallers Medical Battalion, a volunteer organization of paramedics working on the frontline in Ukraine.
