Letters from a Stranger

Genova’s one of my favourite cities – the large, old part of town has narrow winding vicoli that at one turn can lead you either to a bar-filled square, or an alleyway filled with hookers and dealers. Getting chased through those vicoli at night would be a tense experience, so the track reflects that in the tight synths, screaming guitars and pounding beats. The surf guitar part at the end adds a kind of spy-movie feel to it, I think.

Horsemen Pass By are a two-piece band playing original soundtracks to recut forgotten films. Using guitars, electronic beats, sampled horns and strings, and the occasional choir, their show promises weird visuals set against spaghetti western, Soviet sci-fi, 50s documentary and zombie horror sounds.
