In our first episode, Horton presents North Point Lookout, Gracetown WA with Luke Vecchio. 

Its an absolute pleasure to introduce Luke to the Horton fam and he sure does it in style. 

As always when Luke takes control, there is no straight line. This set is full of sunset grooves sprinkled with everything from Afro, Organic, House, Disco and some absolutely class remixes. 001: Sunset@North Point, Gracetown, WA - Luke Vecchio

We are so pumped to bring you a selection of sets from Meliora Festival a few weeks ago. The first is someone that we were lucky enough to have play last year on NYE at the same festival, and she looked right at home bringing Horton to life. The Healing Gardens Stage was literally overflowing and we are grateful (but not surprised) Mmavicc was able to do it all again this year. 

MmaVicc is a dj from Argentina, currrently residing in Perth, Western Australia. Starting out with a love of Progressive House from influences like Djolee with his Afrobits, the love affair spilt over into Melodic and Deep House where she enjoys riding the waves of inspiration to create tasty  combinations. 

Since residing in Western Australia, Mmavicc has become sought after for her personal blend of Afro, Indie and Melodic techno that is irresistible to dance-floors in the CBD or at festivals. We are grateful to have hosted her three times in the last 12 months and hopeful of many more in the coming years. 

With this particular video, we definitely learned some frustrating lessons, but are thankful to the punters that sent through their videos from the floor to help us fill some gaps after some... ummm... lets call them 'technical issues'

MMAVICC Live@Meliora Festival '24

We were lucky enough to see Loose Springsteens' first show show (as this project) about two years ago at Full Circle Festival. We immediately fell in love with his connection to the performace, and his energy, from there it was just a matter of time. 

Individually, we both had some work to do before the right opportunity was going to present itself, and when it did, we were stoked we caught it on camera. 

Loose Springsteen has a deep education in music, and has been involved in plenty of projects before delivering his current form of musical expression. While delivering his 'feel good house' to as many people as he can, he brings his natural frontman energy while swapping between Trumpet, Keys, Trombone and vocals. From the outside it seems that he can't stop writing new tracks and edits even if he wanted too. 

To watch him draw the crowd from empty to a full tent for handover was super special. Knowing that he has a small mountain of unreleased tracks in his back pocket, has us so pumped for the next 12 months and we have been lucky enough to kick off 2025 with a few collabs. 

You will find us teamed up again at the end of month for 'Beats n Pieces' at Aravina Estate in the stunning Margaret River region. Loose Springsteen Live@Meliora Festival 2024

In this episode, we took a road trip south to show off another example of Western Australia's stunning coastline, Wilsons Inlet in Denmark, to hand control of Horton to one of our closest, Abracadabra. (Youtube video coming) 

Abracadabra is a French import that we are proud to adopt. He has been in Denmark for a few years now, but had contributed to the Perth scene for many years before hand putting on nights with Carte Blanche spinning as Moule Fritte and Pierrot Leo. 

While his music and style has varied over the years, his sets are always filled with earworms and rarely filled with anything common on the regular dancefloors. A true music lover. 

For this mix he has graced us with a fine ass selection of raw deep house, groovy minimal and electronic sounds with a focus on progression and travel through melodies. The perfect soundtrack for this stunning location.

Horton is a '71 VW Kombi that we saved from the edge of the scrap yard and converted into a plug n play DJ Booth. 

You can find him at festivals, his own events, and some of Western Australia's best locations for pop-up sessions to film and share to the world. 

We want to showcase our homegrown talent while looking at the view... and there is so much talent and so many views... 

This all started after a Burning Man one year when i was daydreaming watching Robot Heart and Cercle videos. So a tip of the hat in their directions for all the work before hand. 

A big big shout out to Flavour Trip (Ami and Jimmy) on Youtube. We can only hope to capture 1/10 of the energy and love that you project effortlessly... if you haven't checked them out, you have homework.
