From the sunshine soaked hills of Newbury Park, California where this release was carefully crafted comes a label favourite, Aso. After making some stunning contributions to our Essentials series over the past years, as well as the highly acclaimed eight track 'Two / Seven' EP, he is back with another beautiful addition to the Chillhop Catalogue. 

With the kind of relaxing, melancholic vibe you would hope to expect, 'Home' is a Fender Rhodes driven ride complimented by beautiful guitar melodies and laid back percussion. Featuring the likes of both Harris Cole and Middle School, we are sure this is set to be the type of release you can come back and relax to, just like the title suggests.

On stage, the electric arsenal at your back makes you feel invincible. In the studio, machines fashion the armor that protects your most fragile creations, intricately woven layers of reverb and delays.

But there's power to be found in vulnerability. There's power to be found in standing out there alone, with nothing but your voice and a few simple chords.

In these stripped down sessions, turning down the volume amplifies the meaning by purifying and centering the perspective.  A self-portrait, but also a mirror—it's about us, and it's about you. More than anything, it's about how it makes you feel.

As an extra exploration on the Soul Search EP, I made a version of Centauri for the quieter moments. This track has a darker and more mysterious vibe than the original mix. I really enjoy experimenting with ambient music and hope to share more of it in the future
