Marking the tenth anniversary of their iconic debut album ‘What I’ve Always Waited For’ released in 2013, the Gresham brotherly duo - formally known as Nu:Logic, are celebrating their decade milestone with a special project putting a 2023 spin on the original release. The ‘Remixes I’ve Always Waited For’ EP is home to four innovative revisitings of the album classics including Technimatic’s remix of ‘Morning Light’, the Flava D remix of ‘What I’ve Always Waited For’, T>I’s spin on ‘Everlasting Days (feat. Lifford)’, and a VIP from Nu:Logic themselves on ‘Tripping In Space’. 

Drum and bass powerduo Technimatic are on remix duties for ‘Morning Light’. Breathing a new lease of life into the enchanting original, expect pure nostalgic euphoria as delicate atmospherics and rolling drumwork pay perfect homage to what is one of Nu:Logic’s finest pieces of work. With hits such as ‘Lakota’ with A Little Sound, ‘Holding On’, and ‘Looking For Diversion’ with Lucy Kitchen under their belt, this remix is a welcomed addition to their impressive discography.

Bass music champion Flava D heads up the album title-track remix on ‘What I’ve Always Waited For’. With her creative mastery stretching across all scapes of the dance music world from UKG, bassline and drum & bass, the decade of experience under her belt shines through on her production. Paying homage to the soulful vocals and luscious atmospherics of the original, Flava D injects her signature bass wobbles and warped soundscapes on this refreshing take of the 2013 classic.

Known for his rumbling minimal production style, none other than T>I steps up to the plate to put his deep and dangerous twist on one of the most renowned modern day drum & bass classics - ‘Everlasting Days (feat. Lifford)’. Flipping the original on its head, tuck in to growling basslines, bouncing drums and Lifford’s iconic vocals as this absolute rumbler embarks on its flight path to tear up any rave in sight.

Wrapping up the remix EP celebrating a decade of their debut album, Nu:Logic themselves formulate an exclusive VIP of their classic track ‘Tripping In Space’. An honest insight into their versatile production style, get stuck into an acid-infused new generation bubbler complete with warped synthesis and a tough low-end.

Twenty years ago, London Elektricity unleashed one of the most seminal drum & bass albums into the world. ‘Billion Dollar Gravy’ was Tony Colman’s second longplayer, following the iconic debut project ‘Pull The Plug’ released in 1999. Widely acclaimed and well-respected for a multitude of reasons - from the iconic album artwork of Tony holding the ‘Billion Dollar Gravy’ picket sign, to revolutionary anthems such as album title-track ‘Billion Dollar Gravy’, ‘Different Drum’ and ‘Fast Soul Music’, two decades on, the album is revisited with a fresh sonic injection. ‘Billion Dollar Remixes’ is a meticulously crafted project which aligns a selection of some of the finest drum & bass talent with the album originals, making way for the likes of Watch The Ride, Whiney & Unglued, Mozey, Dogger & Mindstate, Zero T, Kimyan Law, Bop x Subwave, imo-Lu, Hugh Hardie and Conrad Subs to put their spin on the 2003 classics.

The unstoppable powerhouse electronic trio Watch The Ride, made up of the legendary DJ Die, Dismantle and Randall see the album in with their immaculately energised remix of title track ‘Billion Dollar Gravy’. Surging the iconic original with crisp-topped basslines and bubbling drumwork, their flawless production style infuses seamlessly with the nostalgic elements of one of London Elektricity’s finest works. With recent hits under their belt including ‘READY4DEM’, ‘Mash Up The Dance’ with Nia Archives, and ‘Original Format’ with D Double E, brace yourself for more triple threat action as Watch The Ride unleash yet another scorcher into their discography.

Stepping up to the plate for remix duties on drum & bass classic ‘Cum Dancing’ is the one and only Mozey, who has continuously taken the scene by storm with his high octane selection of releases on imprints such as Souped Up, Liquid V, and Hospital Records. His modernised jump up style has seen him pave the way for a new generation of artists, with this remix offering a playful spin on the already infectious original through resonant basslines and crunch-packed drumwork.

‘Life Is Beautiful’ is a tasteful modern reinterpretation of Billion Dollar Gravy album original track ‘The Great Drum + Bass Swindle’, and in true London Elektricity fashion has been flipped on its head completely courtesy of soul-drenched piano phrases which allure delicately to the original vocal cuts.

Showcasing a skill he is known best for, London Elektricity’s carefully curated remix album pays homage to two decades of his iconic second longplayer sees a melting pot of influences and styles. You’ll be able to catch London Elektricity performing a ‘20 Years of Billion Dollar Gravy’ set at Hospitality Printworks on 15th April, as well as a special 5-hour set at Hospitality On The Beach in Tisno, Croatia this July.
