The prominent Swedish duo of Elfenberg returns to the label after featuring with the wicked “Kebabsyra”on Rotten Citizens Compilation Vol.4. They've recently released music on labels such as Les Yeux Orange, Feines Tier and Hard Fist. The return to Rotten City will see the light of the long awaited  “Elfenboogie EP”, containing three powerful peak time tracks with all the flavors they like: Acid, Disco and Tribal vibes. 

“Vasta La Hista” is a clear example of a club bomb. Direct, raw, and psychedelic. 100% effective but non generic! 

“Acid Cocoon’” dig into the darker vibes with a spooky and sexy female voice in a “Post-Electroclash” exercise.

With “Elfenboogie” they show us again their favorite elements; Percussion, drive, a soulful vocal and some random weirdness to top it off. "Let's do the Elfenboogie", "Come n Elfenboogie with us”, they always joked around with the term, that now is the title track on this very EP.

The release is complemented with a remix from Julian Sanza & Alvaro Cabana Remix. Both DJs residents at Kaputt Club (Bogotá) joining forces again to turn the Classic Disco vibe of “Elfenboogie” into a trippy and cosmic interpretation.

PREMIERE - Rigopolar - Inversus Totalis  (Tour De Infinite)

Irish brothers, SX2, return to Disco Halal with their debut EP ‘Miracle Mayhem’, two tracks dripping in left-field groove. The artists hone an indie-dance aesthetic that’s become so synonymous with the label, but with a psychedelic edge that’s certain to transcend any dancefloor. Whether it’s on the title track, with its ever-changing vocal sample that effortlessly moves between the forefront and background, whilst its occasional manipulation pulls you into a state of frenzy before the inevitable euphoric explosion that soon follows.

On the flip side, ‘Where We’re At’ merges the worlds of acoustic and electronic production, pushing the boundaries of dance music in the process. Driven forward by a guitar led bassline, the listener is soon consumed by a sea of synths that grip on to you and refuse to let go. Residing from Waterford, Ireland, Clive and Scott Sullivan have an affinity with the unknown – inspiration can come from anywhere and such an approach is the backbone behind their music. Their offering in ‘Miracle Mayhem’ displays alternative dance music at its finest. A style championed by long-term Disco Halal family (and fellow brothers) Simple Symmetry and label head Moscoman, as well as listeners who are hot on the pursuit for something new.

Mexican DJ and producer Joseeph (FREEDL007) lands on Platino Records with a new single: “Tiempo” works as a showcase of the young producer’s capabilities and comes with the collaboration of a true dream team of remixers: Cabizbajo, Max Jones (SXDNS234), and TYU. A solid original and three beautiful interpretations turn the release a must-have for the fans of high-quality Dark Disco/Indie Dance out there.

With a string of well-received works published on respected labels like, for instance, NEIN, Phisica, and Freeride Millenium, Joseph Diaz likes to flirt with an interesting array of influences, delivering an output heavily influenced by Techno, Electro, EBM, Cold Wave, and Trance.

The version we were solicited to review/premiere comes from the creative mind of Cabizbajo, one of the most influential Mexican artists of the moment. Owner of a characteristic and eclectic sonority, he also amasses a collection of solid works on vital labels under his belt. His take on “Tiempo” comes with lots of rhythmic percussive elements, arpeggiated synth layers, and a bouncing bassline. The result: Acid Latinity at its best!

Complaint Kulture is not about those tunes to fill gaps between bangers, but you already well noted this fact I think. Levente has two fresh and highly qualified songs to make you shine at the party, let’s analyze them a bit to match the press text cliché expectations.

I play Tacos Favoritos since the title was 93_1 only and have a feeling this is one of the coolest tacos @mulyamusic ever prepared. Chunky, chuggy and crispy at the same time not to mention the mixture of well roasted beef, pork belly and lamb which hits you half an hour later of consumption.

Local Suicide (@localsuicide) return with the third of four remix EPs for their debut album, 'Eros Anikate', this time named after the ancient Greek god Apollo.

The Greco-German DJ and Producer couple are known for their wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno, EBM, and dark disco and have been driving live audiences into a frenzy across the globe with captivating performances and live sets. Their propulsive grooves have earned them the title of key figures in the up-rising dark disco scene, as well as overwhelming support from the music press worldwide for their releases to date. Their debut 'Eros Anikate' comes after 13 EP releases and is the next step on their journey to a worldwide cobra wave and techno-disco takeover. The album includes selected vocal features and collaborations from Lena Platonos, Curses, Theus Mago, Kalipo, Sissi Rada and more, and received immense support from the likes of Mixmag, Spiegel, Tsugi, Faze, Inverted Audio, Sonic Seducer, Starwax, Side Line, Ransom Note, Groove, The Sun, Kaput Mag, Electronic Groove, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Lifo, Spotify and Apple Music.

The EP opens with a remix of 'Whispering' by the legendary, Berlin-based duo, Adana Twins (@adanatwins). Since their first big break in 2012, the duo have established a sterling reputation, constantly refining their sound, pushing the boundaries of their musical ambition and evolving organically over time. They are driven by a deep-seated desire to transmit emotion through electronic music, merging Benjamin's love of hip-hop and Friso's passion for club music to produce a series of highly-regarded releases that form the foundation of their global success. As they've grown, the duo have channelled their love for electronic music into their platform, TAU, providing a creative space to expand their sound while also discovering and nurturing new artists, including Local Suicide, who previously released on the label a few years ago. Their remix of 'Whispering' strips back the synths and guitars, placing the bass at the forefront to drive the track while Curses' dark, 80s-inspired vocals dance among Dina's echoing whispers. Local Suicide collaborated with New York born and raised artist Curses to reminisce on the wilder and sexier times of the ‘Spaghetti style’ wild west films they watched in their youth, literally putting the ‘wild’ into the ‘wild west’.
