This is the little story for AbleToMaximize,
one night in my house after a really nice dinner with my friends Dilligas we went in studio to play some old dub music and enjoy the night.
Despite we wanted to chill they came out with a little midi file that was insanely stupid.

From that midi I/we took the wrongest drums,distorted the shit out of it and add my twist.
Some internet help made the track just abnormal!

I would like to thanks the old guy trying to explain to people how to play Pan Flute (first break) and the little girl trying to make that "E", "E"...a "sort of E" ...I love them!
This track ended up to be pretty wonky and mad in a good way...and despite everything is working really good in my sets and always put a smile in people listening to it (which is probably the best thing because as my grandmama used to say : Is impossible to see an ugly face if it's smiling).

Mark Jenkyns is back onboard the Hot Creations imprint, this time featuring vocalist MC Chickaboo. 12 Stories (Mark & Chris Sylvester) are on remix duty for their debut on the label, and what a killer release it is!

‘On Me’ oozes with funk, groovy basslines and sonic madness, perfect additions to the Hot Creations catalogue and proving each of the artists involved know exactly what works on the dance floor. Getting heavy support from Jamie Jones & Richy Ahmed & Lee Foss, it looks like another hot-hitter from Hot Creations.

Mark hooked up with MC Chickaboo in light of her legendary work she did with Ewan Pearson & DJ Wildchild.  MC Chickaboo is a female drum and bass DJ and rapper from London. In 2002 she shot to fame when her collaboration with Timo Mass went to number one on the Billboard chart.

12 Stories is the fresh duo Mark Jenkyns and Christopher Sylvester and they will be making their full debut on Hot Creations early this summer..

The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

We got a quote from them: “We were pretty overwhelmed with the reception that "Sending Love" received so we knew that the follow up single had to be something special. We wanted to make a record that would be a "party starter" - something to make your fists pump whilst your face smiles, so when we were originally working on the project we knew we needed a really good vocal hook.  In steps the legendary Steve Edwards, and with our powers combined we proudly present "Front Line"!

We sent the track over to Toolroom and they got back to us within 10 minutes saying they'd sign it so we're super excited about sharing this with the world. We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we enjoyed making it."

A six-track release, ‘Fun Is Fun’ opens with the infectious, synth-driven title track, with a dub version and ‘Mamacita version’ also making it onto the record. Next up, ‘Dancefloor Anarchy’ is a similarly slick cut, while ‘Kill Your Friends’ is 140bpm and harnesses a killer bassline and unnerving scream sample to devastating effect.  

“The title track ‘Fun Is Fun’ is a heavy bassline track, meant as a provocative poem, or as a joke you tell your friends who DJ,” Kessler explains. “When I did this track I was smiling because it’s my message not to take yourself too serious in this business. I think that's a big problem all over this scene.”
