Solid Grooves favourite Blackchild is the next to land on Hot Creations with the Groove Dealer EP. The three track release serves up heavy-duty club rollers, moulding Blackchild’s early influences with a contemporary flare. 

Title track Groove Dealer kicks off proceedings with a heavy sub-bass and chopy hats as melodic brass tones add the key ingredient. Siempre is next up, following suit with elevating brass notes, punchy percussion and dreamy synths. Rounding off the EP, Inmydreams is a deep and dark cut built for the late night hours, ignited by the blissful and hypnotic vocals. Blackchild reveals that "this upcoming EP on Hot Creations represents exactly what my sound is. The inspiration for these tracks come from all the old Jazz and Motown records I used to listen to growing up, with a modern Blackchild touch." 

Originally from a small island in the gulf of Naples called Ischia, Blackchild is the artist name for Italian artist Gennaro Filisdeo. Heavily influenced by his father‘s record collection, he grew up listening to Hip-Hop, RnB, Disco and old school House music. He began to produce at the age of eighteen, but it was in 2019 that Blackchild joined the Solid Grooves roster, which led him to play at statement venues and festivals such as Printworks London, Auditorium Torremolinos Malaga and ADE Festival. 2020 saw chart success with his track Sexy Thing going straight to #2 in the Beatport Top 10 Tech House Chart and #5 in the Overall Top 10 Chart. 2021 looks set to continue in the same direction with a busy release schedule on the way.

Having appeared as a remixer of Jamie Jones’ and Lee Foss’ famed ‘Benediction’ in 2014, the Grammy-nominated DJ/producer and label boss joins the Hot Creations family with original material for the first time, with his wealth of experience shining through across ‘YSD’. 

Honouring a classic, ‘YSD’ brings disco influences and pure house rhythms, diving into mammoth basslines and a thundering drum groove to present a masterclass in dancefloor euphoria. Keeping the vibes high and vibrant, ‘We R Bass’ concludes with thick kickdrums, warped vocal chops, and twisting synth patterns before unfolding into a mesmerizing trip.

Surging through the ranks of the house music scene, Mason Maynard has swiftly become a staple on lineups across the globe, from the iconic Club Space (Miami) to Mediahaven (Amsterdam) and The Warehouse Project (Manchester), sharing the stage with industry heavyweights like Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Hot Since 82 and many more. His continuous presence on BBC Radio 1 and sought-after summer residencies underline his influence, complemented by a growing repertoire of successful releases on renowned labels like Cuttin’ Headz, Saved, Kaluki, Sola, and his own Xscape imprint. Already announced to join label boss Jamie Jones this summer in Ibiza for Paradise at Amnesia, the UK talent first serves up a stunning three-tracker ‘XTC’ featuring a collab with HoneyLuv, plus a huge remix from Hot Creations’ leading man who steps out on home turf for the first time this year showcasing his trademark head-bopping groove. 

“This is a special release for me as it’s my third offering on Hot Creations so to also have a remix from Jamie makes it full circle. It’s cool to hear how my music has developed over the 3 releases. ‘XTC’ came from a studio session in London with HoneyLuv and what came from it was this fun and energetic track. ‘Fly Away’ however, is a hypnotic tale which has been a tool in my sets for a little while now.” - Mason Maynard 

Title track ‘XTC’ finds Maynard and HoneyLuv team up for a confident club groover with menacing vocal hooks and playful rhythms, infusing a retro essence into the track. Next, Jones crafts an exemplary, underground dubby take on the track, intertwining layered effects and hypnotic atmospherics for the ultimate dancefloor weapon. To close, ‘Fly Away’ is another twisted offering that comes with Maynard’s distinct blend of depth, melody and groove carefully designed with a futuristic feel.

We are delighted to welcome Uruguayan artist DiscoGalactiX to the label, collaborating with Henry Street Music owners JohNick on their track, Trippin'.

Trippin' is a signature soundprint from both DiscoGalactiX and JohNick. The track is catchy with jackin drums and soulful vibes.

Label-owners Hiast are once again on remix duties for this track, which has their heavy swinging drums, chopped up and filtered vibes with parts of the original, but including their own sounds.
