Miami-based DJ/producer CHKLTE makes his debut on Solid Grooves Raw with the menacing ‘Be Limber’.

A rising name within America’s house and minimal landscape, making appearances alongside Marco Carola, tINI, and Francesco Del Garda, Texas-born, Miami-based DJ and producer CHKLTE continues to simmer as an emerging name on a lot of lips. With heavy praise from label co-founder PAWSA, while recently closing Space Miami after legendary pairing Ricardo Villalobos and Raresh, he now steps out on Solid Grooves Raw for the first time as he drops his latest single ‘Be Limber’.

Welcoming a dark, moody production armed with snarling bass, chunky drums, and shuffling hats, ‘Be Limber’ delivers a driving cut guided by a snaking lead which a few may clock as it skips through six minutes.

Now in full swing, PAWSA & Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves label introduces its third release from Kuo Climax, plus a remix from Okain.

Evolving from one of London’s most popular event series into a burgeoning record label earlier this year, Solid Grooves’ inaugural releases have come from Spanish producer Wade and label founder PAWSA. Kuo Climax is the next talent to arrive on the roster - a producer born in Malaga who’s already released on established imprints such as VIVa, Avotre, Knee Deep In Sound and Innocent Music.

‘Badboy’ begins with thudding kicks and echoing snares as various idiosyncratic effects come and go. ‘Jump’ then sees a spike in tempo as shuffling hats and suspenseful drum rolls work together to generate copious energy, before the rhythmic ‘Work’ delivers a percussive workout with plenty of groove. French producer Okain, known for his releases on TrueSoul, Gruuv and Tsuba, then delivers a low-slung rendition of ‘Badboy’ with a throbbing bassline and cavernous breakdowns.

A leading light at the forefront of the new wave of British house music, northern star Richy Ahmed returns to his home label Hot Creations with a monumental two-track release entitled ‘So Good’.

Richy Ahmed has been riding at breaking speed since his debut EP ‘The Drums’ dropped on Hot Creations in 2013, crowned as Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and receiving a wealth of support worldwide. The following year he followed up with his ‘Sneaky Acid’ EP as the 50th release on Hot Creations and made his Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ debut. Since then he has spread his wings producing releases for the likes of Circus and Strictly Rhythm and remixes for Hotflush, Suara and Truesoul to name a few. The talented producer is now back on Hot Creations and about to drop one of his best to date.

His first release for 2016, it features two house jams both with a different style. 'So Good' is a perfect summer groover and. 'Ruff N Raw', as the name describes, is quite a tough house banger. Both have been causing serious damage!
Aside from producing, Richy is an integral member of the Hot Creations crew, acting as both A&R and being one of the main residents and curators of the line ups for Paradise at DC10. He also enjoys an extensive touring schedule playing all over the world at hotspots such as Panorama Bar and fabric. Now in 2016, there are no signs of slowing down with the launch of his 'FourThirtyTwo' branded parties that see him playing all night to small intimate crowds. Richy also plans to launch his record label later in the year under the same brand.

Co-founded with Lee Foss, Hot Creations was the start of an empire, which went on to include sister labels HOT TRAX and Emerald City. Jamie also runs Paradise at DC10 in Ibiza, standing today as one of the most popular nights on the island, it enjoys a close connection to the label.

Remaining at the forefront of the dance world, Hot Creations continues to break new talent and play host to well established producers. Releases have come from artists such as Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed, Route 94, wAFF and Roisin Murphy amongst many others including pop group Hot Natured. Critically acclaimed albums by Miguel Campbell, Digitaria, Popof and Phil Kieran have all been highlights on the label. Reaching this impressive milestone, it seems only right that Jamie Jones is the one to deliver the 100th release.

Following the monumental 100th release on the label from Jamie Jones, Hot Creations are set to deliver a heavyweight remix package of the No.1, chart topping Theme From S'Express from S’Express. Originally released in 1989, the acid house classic is remixed by Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer and Hot Creations artist Detlef.

Master remixers, Tuff City Kids deliver an Balearic tinged acid gem with a melodic touch for their take on the original, with an Acid Dub on the flip also on offer. The talented duo has remixed artists such as Arto Mwambe, Scuba, Tensnake and Azari & III to name a few. Proving he knows how to work a dancefloor, rising star Latmun makes his debut on Hot Creations with the mighty Footsteps, featuring vocalist Amy Douglas. In equal measure, the B Side Piquant delivers another heavy hitter.

A certified tech house bomb, Footsteps is full fire from of the off. New York based vocalist, Amy Douglas, brings extra heat, adding a distinct intensity in the build up. With a current track out on Soul Clap Records and an upcoming EP with Juan MacLean as part of their Peach Melba project, Amy is one to keep an eye on. One the flip Piquant offers another peak time killer for the dance floor.

Latmun shot into the limelight in 2016 with 3 great of EP’s.His Def EP on VIVa received support from heavyweights like Skream, Claptone, Claude Vonstroke, Matthias Tanzmann, Steve Lawler and many more. The following releases on Wow! Recordings and Leftwing & Kody's Lost Records had similar success. In 2017 he released his biggest to date, the Everybody’s Dancin’ EP on Relief.

Following their No.1 hit Tribesmen, which was one of the biggest releases on Hot Creations in 2016, dynamic duo Solardo are back on the label with the mighty Fall Down. Toronto native Carlo Lio and revered DJ and producer MK are also on hand to deliver a solid set of remixes.

Bursting with dancefloor vitality, Fall Down showcases the talented duo at their best, as a pacey ride is enhanced through melodic stabs and tight vocal cuts. Solardo reveal how “things just really flowed and came together for ‘Fall Down’ and we can’t wait to see it finally released.” Following suit, Carlo Lio’s remix is in full throttle with bold builds and trippy FX. On the flip, MK changes gear with a seductive, swinging baseline.

Manchester’s Mark Richards and James Eliot aka Solardo were crowned DJ Mag’s Best Breakthrough Act of 2016, were part of Resident Advisor’s top 100 DJs list and more recently won best breakthrough act in the Ibiza DJ awards. Their critically acclaimed releases can be found on Viva, MTA, Elrow, Hot Creations, Toolroom and Relief Records. They also released the massive On the Corner EP on their own imprint Sola, receiving huge support from the likes of Pete Tong, Danny Howard and Monki, with further Radio 1 support through their recent standout Essential Mix.

Making his first appearance on the label, Carlo Lio is the studio partner of Hot Creations favourite Nathan Barato. Together they created Rawthentic Music, where Carlo has been delivering numerous quality releases. Marc Kinchen aka MK has a discography that spans more than 500 titles over different genres. A chance connection with Jamie Jones and Lee Foss led to his return to dance music. Following the success of his Storm Queen remix, Marc continued with huge tracks like Forward Motion for Hot Natured.
