Under new alias C'est Moi, Alex Niggemann delivers a very special treat on Dessous Recordings that demonstrates the sheer depth and range of his outstanding production talents. Marrying a deadly deep, garage-tinged and American-influenced vein of house music to his polished, distinctively European sensibility, 'This Song' will have diehard fans and new converts alike nodding heads and swinging hips on the floor.

The title track is an impeccably executed groove with acid-tinged analogue sounds bubbling up from the depths as the tune gathers in power. The spoken-word sample embodies its ambitions: this is house music as storytelling in the vein of DJ Sprinkles or Marshall Jefferson's 'Mushrooms'. 

Dario D'Attis's remix roughens up the edges of the original in fine style, adding thump, bounce and distorted metallic tones before a fizzing climax engineered for pleasure on peak-time floors. 

The package is rounded off by a real deep house burner: the spacious, pulsing 'From A Bird's Eye View' with its soul-drenched vocal, distant strings and glimmering chimes. 

'Play this song about 3 or 4 times a day', says the voice on 'This Song': a prescription for an EP that's destined for heavy rotation.

Cera Alba returns to MadTech this June with the ’89 EP, comprising two original compositions, a dub interpretation and a remix from Montel.

Liam Jones, better known to most as Cera Alba has become a driving force for underground house and techno from the UK over the past few years with releases on Hot Creations, AVOTRE, Lost Records and of course Kerri Chandler’s MadTech imprint where he returns to here.

Kick starting the release is title cut ‘‘89’ which lays down a dark and brooding groove via weight percussion and bubbling dub stabs before gradually unfolding into a crescendo of bright piano chords and soul infused vocal lines. ‘Solitary Nights’ follows and retains the eerie aesthetic of the preceding record, laying the focus on menacing bass drones, tension building atmospherics and rumbling subs, while subtly evolving percussion and sporadic vocal licks ebb and flow throughout.

Montel steps in to remix ‘’89’ next, bringing shuffled rhythms, chugging bass swells and swirling delayed snippets from the original vocal and piano into the limelight to create a unique twist on the original number. A ‘Dub’ of ‘’89’ from Alba then shapes up the package.

Rogue D is the new solo project from Danny Minchella. Under this new moniker he delivers the eagerly awaited Chains. Set to be one of the biggest tracks of the year, it’s a high octane, club-ready number with abundant driving percussion. Unstoppable force Patrick Topping is also back on home ground for the remix.

“Chains was inspired by Jamie 3:26’s and Cratebug’s edit of Loretta Holloway ‘Hit N Quit’ - I wanted a simple, raw track, killer bassline and a soulful vocal. The process was very fast and I made the majority of the groove in one morning. I dug deep in my collection, looking for that special vocal and came across Steve Silk Hurley’s “Chain of Fools’ (with Aretha Franklin on the original vocal), and it just made the record pop!” - Rogue D

As an artist Minchella has played some of the world’s most esteemed establishments and released on a wealth of high profile labels. He now aims to use his Rogue D guise as a means to express his forward thinking and personal tastes in sound- from techno to old school garage to the sounds of Detroit. He’s already released on DFTD as well as providing a remix of Soul Clap’s Misty on Classic Music Company.

In his relatively short career so far, label favourite Patrick Topping has made the cover of Mixmag, won a coveted DJ Mag Best Of British award and made the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs. He’s released some of the biggest tracks on Hot Creations and is resident for Jamie Jones’ Paradise at DC10. On his rework of Chains, Topping isolates the vocal and adds a tribal bounce to proceedings.

And here we are, coming big time with our "Summer Slices 2018" compilation album on Hive Audio, a massive fourteen track menu that's not only all about a hot summer mood for a reason but also an ideal showcase to introduce both brand new musical outings from the inner circle family as well as heaps of new, raw and undiscovered talent we've come across over the past twelve months.

Starting out with Matija vs Richard Elcox and their tune "Long Ago" we're taken on a trip into a detailed, yet stripped down but lively deep TechHouse universe surely employing some tribalistic vibes alongside a distinct, shuffling low end line and a well-phonky twist whereas Juzz' "Orbital" provides more of a bouncy approach based on playful bass movements an a jazzy atmosphere vibewise.

Following up is "We Are One", a track crafted by Murciano & Nakai who're deeply influenced by the Chicago trackstyle in terms of their drum foundation but provide more of an anthemic and highly atmospheric vocal approach for late night floors whilst electronic music staple David Aurel serves a "Lady Cocktail" that's well on fire with its uncompromising House beat and killer groove before Miravan's "The Music Continues" redefines a masterly shaped combination of spatial, spaced out TechHouse and seductive sexyness for this season and Anthik's "Contenance" weighs in more proper Tech vibes, a jackin' attitude, intricate melodies and a gnarly massive bass ride for peak time ecstasy.

Our friends of Smalltown Collective bring forth their tune "Kalahri" which is vibing on a pumping, yet well melodic level introducing a beautiful piano motif to the dancefloor crowd, Vanita's "Ubuntu" explores darker, sci-fi Tech territories incorporating haunting atmospheres, metallic percussion elements and a panoramic synth motif on the rise accompanied by naturalistic chants whereas SOAME's "Gracia" is fueled with well technoid, yet playful fascination for a modernistic take on HypnoTech and Marco Bertro's "Mindfluid" turns out to be a damp, sexy tool for all modern, signal loving jocks out there.

Furthermore we see Moosfiebr's "Clowns In My Soul" dance around to a clap-heavy, intricate take on stripped down House music sporting a unique, lively, deep ass bounce and beautiful string layers, "FreeFall" by Manon feat. Gitali caters a seductive slow-motion groove, magical bass drops and quite a portion of fascinating vocal mysticism whilst Meikel's contribution named "Air" is based on a hormone driven groove, tripping hoover mutations and echoes of Munich disco for the late night crowd before Normen Hood rounds things off with "Karat", indulging in crystalline NeoTrance meets TechHouse structures to be preferrably played out under the bright stars of the milky way.

The next addition to the Hive Audio camp before a busy year comes to an end is Ezikiel Bähler, better known as Ezikiel to all followers of up-and-coming artists within the electronic club music scene. With releases on labels like Celesta Recordings, Cadenza and Tenax Recordings under his belt since 2014 Ezikiel has started out to carve out a niche of his own and continues to do so with his new „The Key Of Life EP“.

The title track „The Key Of Life“ brings forth the long lost magic of sparse, stripped down Minimal House in combination with a highly seductive groove, shaking hi-hats and a hypnotic, beautiful layer of meandering synths alongside a thought out, intricate drum programming which, in it's lose nature, can be best described as a modern take of hypermodern Jazz whilst a distinct, jacking Acid modulation elevates punters minds even further throughout the course of the track.

With „Full House“ Mr. Ezikiel speeds up things tempo wise and presents a rocking, once again highly groove-oriented, take on stripped down House music, employing a discoid bassline, oscillating strings and fascinating, soulful vocal cuts as his weapons of choice to work dancefloors to the max.
