Three slices of rattling drums, low-end subs and bleeped out bleeps make for a cohesive and well informed EP and a welcome addition to the series. Happy New Year! 2019 has just begun but we, at elrow Music, want to keep up the pace and the good vibes flowing with our music from the very beginning. That's why we've summoned two big names in the scene to start our year in full force.

Pirupa & Leon have teamed up to deliver this ERM 147, that goes by the name of 'Our Sound EP'. The two-tracker opens with 'Our Sound (Original Mix)', a track that starts with a very playful percussion, but soon becomes a trippy and organic affair, thanks to the atmosphere created by the organs, the synth melodies and the deep vocals. A true dancefloor killer.

'Now Walk (Original Mix)' is a complete different affair. It starts in full force with a perfectly recognizable techy progression and continues with an interesting vocal line. But make no mistake, this is a straight dancefloor breaker, with almost no melodies and both percussion and FX heavy. All in all, a great deliver by the Italian duo, that sets the bar high for the rest of this 2019. Challenge accepted! Stay tuned!

Patrick Topping has announced that he will be launching his own record label, TRICK, a home for Patrick to exhibit his versatility as a producer, as well as a platform to showcase the wealth of the emerging talent which he has been pushing in his DJ sets. Packed with three original tracks from Patrick, the EP-titled ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ comes with the launch of his label TRICK and as a much anticipated follow up to the late 2017 Hot Creations smash ‘Be Sharp Say Nowt’, which continued to dominate throughout 2018. A year which proved another hugely successful one for the UK producer who was called on for the remix duties for Calvin Harris and added Music Radar’s ‘Best House Producer/DJ 2018’’ and his third DJ Award for Tech House Artist to his list of accolade that include his DJ Mag ‘Best of British’ award and reaching number 11 in Resident Advisor’s 2016 top DJs poll. This debut release on TRICK showcases a change in sound from the acclaimed artist and an evolution of Patrick’s ever-maturing style. The British DJ displays a new style as a producer, one which has always been a part of his genre-hopping DJ sets, but for the first time as a producer, Patrick delivered an EP packed with darker techno undertones and raw influences.

26th July 2019 sees the unstoppable UK-based house duo CamelPhat team up Snatch! Records’ head honcho Riva Starr and America’s esteemed spoken word recording artist Ursula Rucker to deliver their stunning debut collaboration EP, Crystal Clear.

This essential 2 track release continues Snatch!’s fine form and follows stellar releases from the likes of Parris Mitchell, Nina Kraviz, Mark Broom, Arthur Baker, Green Velvet, Groove Armada, Solardo and, of course, Riva Starr amongst many others.

The EP’s title track ‘Crystal Clear’ gets things underway, serving up a future deep house anthem encompassing a lush filtered chord pattern, an effective 4/4 groove and an emotive spoken vocal from the legendary Ursula Rucker stating ‘stay high, even when I fall’ – expect
to hear this destroying dancefloors all over Europe and beyond this summer!

Hot Creations welcome back the dynamic Shadow Child to drop heavyweight single The DBG, his first full release on the label since his earlier acclaimed remixes of Hot Natured and Miguel Campbell. Prolific techno producer Mark Broom also provides a compelling remix.

Thudding kicks launch The DBG paired with eccentric, fizzing electronics that bubble alongside, before reaching a midpoint climax, unfurling into a colossal bassline. Mark Broom adds his groove-laden techno stamp on the remix, transforming it with energetic hats, soulful vocals, horns and hints of the buzzing high pitched synth of the original. On Get Busy finely tuned 909 and 707 drum patterns interlock with a dancing acid synth line.

Having an already genre-bending catalogue of original works and remixes, Shadow Child's music has recently hit labels such as Unknown to the Unknown, Ovum and Super Rhythm Trax. He also has a bi-weekly radio slot on Rinse FM, a Wednesday slot shared with Mall Grab, and has graced the airwaves there for over 6 years. The acclaimed “Curated by..” project on his Food Music imprint this year, has so far seen him pull together remasters and brand new reworks of defining classic tracks by Zero B, SL2, Xpansions and Bump, not only by himself but with Krystal Klear, Rebūke, Jerome Hill, Chambray, 2 Bad Mice and many more. Outplay was founded in 2012 by Dutch producer duo Fouk, otherwise known as Daniel Leseman & Junktion.  The label focuses on the deeper side of house and for their next release it’s a three track affair by the elusive and ever so mysterious Clive from accounts.
 
Number cruncher extra-ordinaire by day, brilliant music producer by night, Outplay are pretty amped to release this EP by the self proclaimed “regional tiddlywinks champion” and “all-round beige sky thinker” Clive.  Who says office workers are drones? Loitering around the coffee machine surely has had no bad effect on his creative juices.  
 
Clive first sent in a one track demo of “Bisou” and the label was blown away by the top notch production quality, feeling that it really stood out from anything else in their inbox.  Over the course of a year Outplay asked Clive to fill out an EP.  The end result is a record with three very strong tracks, each with its own character.  “Keep Movin” is perfect for big dance floors and filthy sweaty clubs.  The title track “The Trouble With Clive” has that big beefy garage effect going on.  The EP closes out with “Bisou” - a floaty warm stabby breaks affair with nods to the classic deep house sound.   Oh ….and I’m supposed to tell you that it’s Hawaiian shirt day on Friday!
