In celebration of Miami Music Week 2019, Solardo and their Sola label have collated a monster 21 track compilation of heavy floor fillers from esteemed producers and rising talent that are rapidly growing to prominence on the scene. Del 30’s Stay Focused kicks off the compilation with intense magnitude, boasting distorted synth patterns and techno infusions perfect for early hours club play. Moving the compilation into uplifting territories Mason Maynard’s Soul Service possesses diva vocals and captivating synths giving a nod to the 90s house era. 

Elsewhere, Secondcity’s In My Heart (7am Mix) takes us back to Chicago with cosmic patterns and a compelling top line made for the dancefloor. Meanwhile, Hannah Wants makes her exciting debut to Sola with How We You, blending her signature style of weighty subs and immersive breakdowns for a tech house smash. Tuff London line up another underground belter with Heartbreak, featuring a thrilling vocal loop weaved amongst punchy drum lines. 

Following Sola’s debut Miami compilation 2018, the label has achieved impressive success and this compilation is a product of the outstanding talent that the label looks to champion and has been pushing over the past year. Solid Grooves reveal their 2020 'Summer Sampler' as co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA are joined by a fresh selection of the collective's core residents this August.

An imprint established just five years ago, yet one that stands today as one of the scene's most in-demand labels, Michael Bibi and PAWSA's Solid Grooves Records continues to go from strength to strength with their unmistakable sound showcased via their core global family of artists and residents. Following on from the label's biggest 12 months to date, with five Beatport #1's since 2019's V/A offering, mid-August now welcomes the arrival of 2020's sampler instalment as both label co-founders return to deliver highly anticipated unreleased productions, alongside fresh material from label favourite Dennis Cruz, Spanish duo Eddy M and Bassel Darwish, Barcelona's Reelow, UK resident Ramin Rezaie, and the latest addition to the SG family, Italian DJ and producer Blackchild (ITA).

Bassel Darwish's rolling cut 'Origin' opens the package in style, whilst Blackchild (ITA)'s 'Por La Calle' keeps the focus on organic percussion whilst upping the energy levels and introducing resonant sax riffs throughout. Next, MÜSE bosses Dennis Cruz and Eddy M step up with Cruz delivering a typically slick effort via the impressive 'El Puma', whilst Eddy M's 'Goodie Bag' combines trademark grooves, bumping bass licks and infectious vocal samples. The second half signals the introduction of both label co-founders, with Bibi finally releasing the highly anticipated and hypnotic sonics of 'Dance To The Devil', whilst 'Full Tilt' welcomes a high-octane journey through slinking drum grooves and menacing basslines courtesy of PAWSA. To close, Ramin Rezaie's 'Bam' pairs things back and balances drum grooves loaded with swing alongside sweeping melodies, before the warping 'Voices In My Damn Head' sees Reelow introduce soaring electronic leads and off kilter drums arrangement to shape up proceedings.

Dutch-Caribbean stars Shermanology debut on Hot Creations with the tremendous three-track Bon Bini EP. The release continues an outstanding 2020 for the brother-sister pairing, which has seen them collaborate with The Martinez Brothers already this year.

The title track, Bon Bini, kicks off proceedings in a no-nonsense fashion, as a pumping lead kick merges with latin-inspired vocal cuts. The lengthy breakdown builds a party atmosphere, as rustling hats provide an up-tempo feel. OK - Cool - Aight feat. ConQuer Jones comes next, with its uplifting piano rolls and wonderful vocal solo courtesy of the lead vocalist who tells us to “make the best of what life has to offer.” Breathe feat. Agent Sasco rounds off the EP. A straight-up club cut, the kick-hat blend is irresistibly danceable, building on an underlying bassline that features Agent Sasco’s whispering lyrics underneath.

Hailing from the beautiful Dutch-Carribean island of Curacao, brother-and-sister duo Shermanology have become one of electronic music’s most well-loved and well-known pairings releasing on the likes of Defected and Dirtybird. This year marked a pivotal milestone in their career as they collaborated with The Martinez Brothers on the incredible Bam Bam. Add to this their soon-to-be-released debut on Hot Creations and it is safe to say Shermanology will be making heads turn, and feet move, for years to come.
