Worth The Wait - demo version

New Zealand's only all-female bluegrass band, we play originals and traditional bluegrass favourites.  We love the vintage style of the golden era of bluegrass, and working around a single mic.  

We had our first ever practice on 18 May 2014. We could immediately feel the synergy between the five of us. We just work well together, and our skills and strengths compliment each other so well. We knew this was the start of something beautiful!

These demos were recorded with Slavka Franclikova on fiddle.  She has since sadly moved back to Czech Republic. She has been replaced by the equally magnificent Krissy Jackson of New Plymouth.

From the very beginning, Bluegrass music has been heavily skewed towards men.  Heather and Deb write original bluegrass songs with strong female themes.  Songs written by women, performed by women, for women listeners.  And we hope men will enjoy them as well!
