His DJ and live sets feature melodic house, fast-paced groove techno, progressive trance-inspired deconstructed club, and experimental breakbeats, resulting in a perfect blend of bittersweet cheesy and pure outisder's experimentalism.

This out-of-the-box breath-thru name is more accurately defined as "unique every time."

Deividas also is known for his live electro-acoustic ambient performances with some of Lithuania's most talented instrumentalists and modern dancers.
His piece "the night in the dream-york" received critical acclaim, and the vinyl limited edition release "Dream York Versions vol.1" sold out in a matter of days.
Here he is experimenting with the edges of programmed modular ambient sleep music, created exclusively for Melantónia.

Most of this album was recorded around 2017 at the North Sea Institute for the Overmind in The Hague Holland. Early 2022 I finally had some energy to get the artwork, tracks and "mastering" etc. together. 

I went for a bit of a “mid century weird tales Clipper Flying boat LA science Fiction fanclub” vibe with this one as I was reading a lot of that stuff. Synthwise its all over the place... ‘Supernova Cherry Dessert’ is nothing but the Novation Supernova pushing its 12 DSP succulent dripping filter to the max. Also heavy use of the Waldorf Pulse 2 & Blofeld (like on Fluttering into a Pulse storm) There is some JV2080 in there too. “Where the endless minds go” = just one loop on the Roland boutique mini JP08 you can hear the notes cut off sometimes because it can’t cope with too much polyphony and the hands on control gets a bit mucky due do its microscopically sized faders ah well…. “La chaleur sombre d’un S900” which is something like the Dark brooding warmth of the S900 is just that, all sounds sampled into the lower kHz rates of an AKAI S900 for those mesmerizing undusted digital artefacts. The artwork is a painting I made called ‘The golden age of Flying boats’.

Gliding Again

Like a summer wind Sandra Stein alias Frinda Di Lanco goes about her craft : Sometimes soft with glimpses of blissful days at the shore – other times as a refreshing breeze pushing away clouds and pulling at your limbs to get you moving; and in some cases just straight raising the roof to a point where the shingles go flying.

These cosmically imbued gusts carried her name onto many line-ups alongside the grands of the scene and to venues beloved: sharing the decks with names like Beppe Loda, Budino, Franz Scala and Johannes Albert and casting aside the drapes of the everyday at Primavera Sound, Fusion Festival, Berlin’s infamous"Cocktail d’Amore“ party, the "Warning“ installments at "about blank" and places as far as Krakow, Sofia, Beijing and Tokyo.

Her carefully selected sets gathered from backyards, basements, and record store back rooms from Lisbon to Beijing and Oslo to Palermo – wherever she and her partner in life, crime and business are carried to on their digging odysseys – range from oddball disco, funk and library to italo, wave and new beat with detours into tribal and trance – taking you onto a wild trip where even the most seasoned dance-averse will be blown onto the dance floor.

Besides stirring up crowds her love for music and vinyl can be seen and heard – and bought –  all over Germany’s capital and the aether of the world wide web. She hosts a well-curated radio show by the name of "Music From Mullets“ with guest appearances by Donna Leake, CV Vision or Arsenii (check his dope mix for LYO if you can). Additionally beloved outlets such as Amsterdam's Bordello Radio, Hysteric's Mothball FM, Mr. Bongo Record Club, Refuge Worldwide and Berlin’s experimental Cashmere Radio carried Frinda’s explorations into music apart from the dance floor out to the world.

Her party series "Ciao Amore Baci“ dedicated to vibrant Italian disco gems and featuring reknown and up-coming local DJs has become a welcome alternative for the disco-orientated Berlin nightlife longing to move to sounds apart the beaten track. 

On top of that Frinda di Lanco and her partner Hendrik Stein founded their record label / store "Avec Plaisir“ selling and releasing hand-picked rarities since 2020 – working with the likes of cosmic legend DJ Stefan Egger as well as digging private press record releases from the 1970's to 90's.

Hot Concept enters its third year with the inaugural edition of ‘Hot Compilation’, collecting new works from every artist who has released on the label so far. Initially released as a Bandcamp exclusive, all proceeds from the release will be donated to habibi.works, an on-the-ground charity assisting refugees in Greece by providing spaces to use and exchange skills

Discovery Zone open the release with ‘Faking It’, an instrumental passage of wistful synth pleasure that acts as a blissful opening and an ideal foil to their celebrated debut album ‘Remote Control’ on Mansions & Millions, as well as the accompanying ‘Dance II’ remix single on Hot Concept. Oscillating in a different direction, Bleaching Agent continues to hypnotically meld outsider influences on ‘Amar’, an atmospheric, chugging juncture between EBM and post-punk.

Following two singles supported by DJs such as HAAi and Erol Alkan, British-Asian producer Beigean delves into his Bollywood crate to introduce ‘Bolly Edit #1’, a rhythmic and glorious nod to Indian cinema heritage that has been a staple on selected USB sticks since 2017, recently causing a stir in a festive back-to-back between label founder and John Loveless and Palms Trax on Cashmere Radio.

Loveless himself turns up in collaboration with Pokies for ‘Plausible Deniability’, directly inspired by the rubberiest bounce of Chicago house and absurdist electro, originally recorded on one baking hot Berlin afternoon in 2018, a temperature reflected in near-audible sweat. Refining this intensity, Gramrcy delivers ‘Throbbee’, a wide-eyed spectacle of tripping rave, easily cementing the man from Peach Discs’ reputation as one of the most versatile and generous club producers out there.

Finally, Yr Lovely Dead Moon anticipates new material and builds on the emerging cultish reputation of her recent self-titled album with ‘Mirror’, a simmering mix of performance poetry and heavy electronic manipulation, concluding ‘Hot Compilation’ on a deep and definitive note.

Hot Concept is a Berlin-based electronic and alternative music outlet founded by DJ, writer and producer, John Loveless. Beginning as a party, it expanded into a label in 2019. Beginning in 2016, habibi.works provides work with team members from sixteen individual countries in order to provide opportunity for education, empowerment and encounter.
