After the very successful “64 Ways” Ep that we released earlier this summer we are ready for more Detroit Swindle “Boxed Out” goodness. The boys have selected some of their fave producers to Lay their hands on four originals from the album.
First up is Mr. Freerange himself, Jamie Odell, who delivers a typical deep and fresh sounding reinterpretation of B.Y.O. under his Jimpster moniker. It’s a true house jam as only he can build it wit a great “Live” feeling. This is followed by MRSK from Sweden who you might know from his excellent releases on “Rush Hour”, “Skudge” or “Sushitech”. He boosts the banging “He’s Just This Guy, You Know?” to even higher levels with a raw Disco and Funk infusion.

The B side opens with Germany’s finest “Cuthead” who has just released his debut album on “Uncanny Valley” and who has been a huge inspiration to the boys in the past years, we are very glad that he drops his great skills on the smooth “Me, Myself & You” track.

Closing off is non other than legendary Baltimore producer Karizma aka Kaytronik, it’s a great honour for us to have such an influential producer on this EP and his take on the album Hip Hop jam “For The Love Of...” is something special. Crystal clear Techno/ House beats with deep subs and the cut up vocal from the original turn this remix into something very special and timeless.

Having previously released on labels like Southern Fried, Toolroom, Glasgow Underground and Dirt Crew, it’s an honor to welcome his return and in such fine style. Teaming up with prolific British icon Idris Elba, the duo have effortlessly hatched a beautifully balanced record that crosses ambience, melody and minimalism in a crescendo of pleasantries. 

On remix duty, WOLF Music’s Greymatter provides his unique take on the original, in preparation for his third LP 'No Blood Without' in spring 2017. In an elegant melancholy of downtempo club sounds Greymatter provides lo-fi drums, chugging percussion and a healthy dose of tape fuzz, providing the perfectly visceral post-club soundtrack.

Following acclaimed excursions on Hypercolour (‘Needs You EP’) and Will Saul’s Aus Music (‘Child EP’) last year, George FitzGerald has returned to his Hotflush home for the first time since 2011. Premiering in FitzGerald’s debut Radio 1 Essential Mix last month as part of the ‘2013’s Future Stars’ series, ‘Thinking Of You’ dropped as a Beaport exclusive on 18th March, and is now set for full physical release complete with the equally compelling ‘Nighttide Lover’ on the flip.
 
With over 100k Soundcloud plays prior to release and a fixture in the Beatport top 40 ever since, ‘Thinking of You’ needs no going-over. Its b-side counterpart, however, is one of FitzGerald’s rawest cuts yet. Immediate and punchy with no less of his emotive trademark, ‘Nighttide Lover’ is every bit the sweaty hit to usher in the Ibiza season.
 
The last twelve months have been extremely busy for FitzGerald as he continues to capture the attention of industry heads and fans alike with his refined and emotive homegrown club music. Releasing music on his regular home Hotflush, as well as Will Saul’s Aus Music imprint and the acclaimed Hypercolour stable, not to mention his own burgeoning ManMakeMusic imprint, FitzGerald's flourishing discography continues to grow steadily but impeccably.

Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
