Just under a year after their last big impression on Rekids, Private Press are back with four more of their brilliant big room techno cuts.

This Polish pair hail from Warsaw and are focused on producing high energy and dubbed out techno. Already this year they have released on the Ziema label and had a strong 2018 two EPs on the highly regarded Indigo Area. Their powerful sound is a perfect fit with the no frills Rekids label and these four tracks all do plenty of damage.

Opener ‘Traces to Nowhere’ is an impossibly bristling track with razor sharp synth stabs and jostling drums that are redolent of the masterful Shed. Part old school, part a vision of the future, it is impeccably produced.

‘Paper Clip’ is a haunting, high speed dub techno trip with eerie chords and sound design that keep you on edge, and ‘Wet Moon’ is a broken beat masterclass with sirens, tense breakdowns and icy hi hat ringlets that is archetypal club weaponry.

Last but not least, the warm, atmospheric and unrelenting banger that is ‘The Struggle’ sweeps you up and carries you away on a classy techno vibe and rolling drums that you could listen to for days.

This is a devastating EP of high impact, high quality techno.

Following appearances on Rhythm Nation, Hotflush sub-label Who Whom, and on Scuba’s contribution to the fabric mix series, recent releases from Reuben have been self-released and exclusive to the Bandcamp platform. A prolific producer of tracks from deep soundscapes to warehouse sonic assaults, this EP concentrates on the more dancefloor-focused side of his range.

Having stepped away from his original productions to focus on film and TV, Si Begg makes a very welcome return with a hefty four-track release '400 Million Pieces Of You'. Taking inspiration from the Drexcyian landscape on the ‘P1 Tek 2 Neu Anfang’ and ‘P1 Voltage 2 Repeater’, the stand out track for us is 'When We Were Young' - a hypnotic, looping trance record that takes us back to the 90s.

Continuing a stunningly prolific 2020, trailblazing duo Black Girl / White Girl further solidify their unrelenting rise to prominence with the new 'Paradise On Saturn' EP, due November 20th on the vital UKR label.

UKR is proud to welcome the extremely talented and well-respected techno duo from Holland, Black Girl / White Girl, to the imprint as they and UKR go from strength to strength as we approach 2021. Hot on the heels of their guest mixes and interviews for acclaimed British electronic music publications Mixmag and DJ Mag, this powerhouse team Karin & Ty, aka Black Girl / White Girl, deliver two jacktastic warehouse weapons titled 'Nightfall On Saturn' & 'Fool's Paradise'.

The two original tracks from BGWG are pure magic with their raw energy, tough attitude, catchy layering, and unstoppable vibes. 'Nightfall On Saturn' draws the listener in with its tribal tom groove, jacking rhythms, twisted vocal manipulations, and intricate effects, while 'Fool's Paradise' funks things up with its warped out scratching synth line, SL2 synth stabs, vocal snippets, cutting edge effects and clean bongo percussive action. These two are on fire as they lay down some true funky techno action that's absolutely first class all the way.

If you're into the originals, then you're in for a real treat when you dive into these remixes. From the clever as ever mind-melting re-work of 'Nightfall On Saturn' by the always relentless perfectionist, Noncompliant, that pitch-shifts, and warps things into another dimension of raw jacking warehouse goodness, and the unreal bass line, catchy percussive rhythms, next level mimicking synth layering and mind-trickery of the world-renowned duo MASC's treatment of 'Fool's Paradise', to the super hot acid remix of 'Fool's Paradise' from Chicago's extremely talented and intriguing Hiroko Yamamura, a true techno gem of the Windy City. This Paradise On Saturn EP from Black Girl / White Girl is a release that is sure to stand the test of time.

Producing under Euclio moniker since his early dubstep years, Prague based architect by the time shaped his vibes to more club-oriented territories.., yet still forming both unusually structured and (thus) strangely catchy environment and beat patterns..
But where to move when there are no dancefloors at all?

His addition Cyno is likely taking place at voluntarily dissociated living rooms, outputting undetermined schizoid of intensions to dance, but in mostly isolated spaces.. experiencing lonely happiness and moments of introversion. Like a look onto smile and grin of the presence, with the black coloured lipstick on.

While original versions feel weirdly charming and somehow pure and simple in its effectiveness - tight percussions are riding like razor edges over surrounding darken lights of the atmospheres, beats‘ clips and pieces swarming with bubbling and blopping synths..; remixers puts heavy-atmo lines and waves, observing sound material, worming you, or hypnotise.. But still, there’s enough space to drow or sink in..

Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.
