For the last two decades Shinedoe has been doing exactly what her name symbolises. Through her various endeavours the Amsterdam-born and raised artist has been on a mission to move people through music, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually too.

Since starting DJing at the age of 19 she's been driven by the deep and soulful sounds of Detroit and Chicago, and pioneering artists like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson.

She took matters into her own hands by starting her Inmotion parties back in 2001 and refined her skills as a DJ in the process. The party was renamed to Intacto a few years later, coinciding with the launch of her co-run label of the same name which served as a platform for much of her own releases including three of her long players. Other labels came knocking too; the likes of Ibadan and Cocoon also housed her characteristically powerful grooves, and later down the line, a new platform of her own: Music That Moves. 

The label, launched in 2018, perfectly sums up her outlook as a whole. A place for her own productions, she's been able to immortalise her long-term musical vision which seeks to show the sensual, soulful side of techno - the latest example being her Freedom Riders LP which came out in October. 

Her mix for us showcases exactly that. Percussive and pacy, it's a collection of shimmering techno, electro and breaks (inclusive of her own productions) that's fluid and effortless from the get-go.

XOYO Residency Jan-Mar 2016

"2015 has been a great year: I've released an album that quite a lot of you seemed to like, made my second full-length contribution to the legendary Essential Mix, been remixed by almost all my favourite producers, and launched my first regular radio show since 2005. I've also played some of my most memorable gigs ever, like Labyrinth Festival in Japan, Warehouse Project in Manchester, five amazing dates at Berghain, and three at the best party in Ibiza this summer: Cocoon.

What I haven't done much this year is play in London, the city where I grew up and still the most important place for new music, especially in the electronic world. But from 9 January til 26 March I'm happy to say that's going to change: I'll be the first XOYO resident of 2016, playing every Saturday night and inviting each week some of my favourite artists to add their own unique twist to the party, including Nina Kraviz, Len Faki, Chris Liebing and many more. 

I'll be playing the first one all night long, and the last one all night back to back with a surprise guest who will be announced on the night... I'll leave you to figure that one out.

As it's a residency I won't be playing the headline slot every week - some nights I'll be warming up, some nights I'll be closing. This is the first time I've had a weekly slot at a club and I'm really looking forward to the challenge.

In occasions like this, it's hard to look back over the many years now and reminiscence about the incredible roster of guests we have been able to host in the series, giving them a chance to shine big and bright from our small and humble spotlight. After 6 years running The Erratic Podcast and commemorating our 150th episode, we are deeply honored to give the stage to none other than SLAM! Stuart and Orde need no introduction, of course, as they've been a techno institution for the last 25+ years, running the incomparable Soma Records out of their home town of Glasgow. In recent years, they have been managing their own podcast series 'Slam Radio' (something we can surely relate to), which in the past 5 years has also hosted the absolute best in techno: now at 230+ podcast/radio shows strong. It is due to this, in combination with their superlative and highly successful track-record, that we are supremely proud and humbled to feature them in our milestone episode... marking year 6 of our beloved podcast series, The Erratic Podcast. Hotflush is a record label launched by Paul Rose aka Scuba in 2003. Its early period was spent as a central part of London's Bass Music scene which exploded in the mid 2000s, although the label has always been difficult to pigeonhole musically and recent output has focused on Techno and House.

Scuba is a maker of music from the UK. He is also the founder of a record label called Hotflush Recordings.
