Hot Karate is a power trio hailing from Highland Park, Los Angeles.

Rob Krauss (guitar) melds harmony and melody in dense riffs; Cyrus Ghahremani (bass and vocals) provides both rhythm and solo work over soaring vocals; and Adam Subhas (drums) brings everything together with a background in jazz and blues.

Since its beginnings in 2010 as a casual jam, Hot Karate has grown into a serious effort to write progressive, catchy, and instrumentally complex rock. The previous records have been reviewed as "earth-shattering" and "fun to listen to, upbeat, in-your-face music". Each song presents something tonally or rhythmically challenging and irregular, yet it always grooves, and never feels mathematic.

Our third release "FINGER FOOD" (2013) showcases our style and songwriting at its best, representing our evolution as a band with a diverse and well-rounded selection of songs that span from unique epics to perfect summer themes.
