INTRODUCTION
Progressive, experimental, aggressive but still melodic and catchy are the words to describe the music of the “Hot Mama”, a young German-Russian band from Dresden. Focused on modern trend in metal music they deliver a unique combination of brutal guitar sounds and strong female vocals played with a high technical precision.
The band was founded 2010 in Dresden (Germany) by two Russian and two German guys. The first album “Downloader” was released 2013 under BOB-Media. The style of the debut LP was somewhere between hard rock and alternative metal with female vocals. Was gut accepted by the audience but was also sometimes criticized for the lack of innovation.
On the Stasy’s proposal the band decided to change everything from its image to sound and songwriting. Hot Mama set an emphasis on modern progressive metal. The two folowing EP’s “Alive” and “Let it die” were classified djent/metalcore with femal vocals.
