The third multi-artist EP from Hot Digits' occasional vinyl series, Wax Digits, is packed to the rafters with dancefloor-focused re-edits and reworks. Labor Of Love leads the way with "Move That Thang", a fine chunk of warm and bass heavy deep house/disco fusion, before Osmose steals the show with the loopy mid-tempo disco-funk bump of "Let Harry Rock". Over on Side B, The Silver Rider impresses via the swirling disco-house hypnotism of 'Groove On Down", before experienced re-editor P-Sol pairs locked-in grooves with sun-kissed disco instrumentation and heady vocal snippets on "Sturdy Disco".

It's been three years since the last instalment in the "Giant Cuts Presents" series, so this fiery and funky four-tracker from Mexican hero Hotmood is long overdue. He's naturally in fine form, brilliantly joining the dots between loopy disco edits, James Brown and groovy deep house on tasty opener "The Rhythm Is There", before serving up a slightly deeper flavour of disco-house on the dewy-eyed bounce of "My Darling (Dina)". Doc Jam does his best Tiger & Woods impression on his loopy and life-affirming house revision of "The Rhythm Is There", while closing cut "Tropical Space" is an inspired fusion of jazz-funk, disco-house and evocative tropical jazz samples bringing  the summer vibes for the cold winter days.

Phenomenal Handclap Band is back on Toy Tonics with remixes by Superpitcher & Ray Mang! The New York indie disco crew delivers their third song to the Berlin dancefloor label. Their last 2 Toy Tonics singles, "Judge Not" and "Jail", have already made big waves with heavy rotations in the sets of people like DJ Harvey, Artwork, Gilles Peterson, Keinemusik and many others. Now they are back with another surefire smash: "Remain Silent".
The Phenomenal Handclap Band from New York has been known for a couple of funk-driven releases before, but also for supporting or collaborating with such giants as Bryan Ferry, Marcos Valle and Nile Rodgers & Chic. 
The band, based around multi instrumentalist and producer Daniel Collás, is releasing their new single in advance of a new album on Toy Tonics in 2020. This is just a warm up!

Coming all the way from Ushuaia / Argentina, as it has become a tradition, we close this crazy year with one of our most talented artist and main collaborator on the label: Alexis Podwiazny a.k.a. Alexny delivering a two tracker EP for our Mandrill Cuts Series. For the first installment 'Choca Las Caderas' arrives in the form of a Latin-Funk house blend filled with timbales on the rhythm section, cheerful vocals and a perpetuous bassline conserving a solid groove. On the other side 'Hankuri' samples a Nigerian Afro-beat gem from the late 70's with an outstanding saxphone solo and a modern touch putting together a perfect joint for any kind of set.
