VLAD originally cut his teeth in the Croatian techno scene before making his mark here in  Dublin. In a relatively short amount of time, VLAD has gone from digging in the crates on his first day in Dublin to now being a cornerstone of the techno scene in Dublin.

VLAD has held down residencies in clubs such as Berlin D2 & Pygmalion. You may have also seen VLAD in the dark rooms of District 8 and Index supporting some of the heaviest hitters in the industry such as Craig Richards, Ame, Radioslave & Ryan Elliot or on the festival circuit up & down the country.

As well as killing his own sets on a regular basis, VLAD has given back to the upcoming DJ's with his OPEN DECK series, in Berlin D2's basement.   

This mix takes many twists and turns on a mind-warping hypnotic hour of techno music, slap on your best headphones and strap in for +8% two-step action.

Hotseat, Vol.2 opens with “Right Guard” which has punchy drums, lush pads and a hypnotic arpeggiated bassline. This is coupled with gorgeous synth leads which really draw out the emotion in this track when coupled with the lush pads. 


The second and final track from Peggs is titled “Whats in ur Mind”. This track features rhythmic basslines, catchy vocals, subtle but gorgeous pads and beautiful synths looking after the higher frequencies. This EP gives great insight into Peggs direction as of late and the sound he pushes. We’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming him to the Hotseat Family with these two tracks.

Between Peggs solo material, Nixer, and his collaboration under the Clutterhead moniker, Peggs has lots of new and exciting releases to anticipate.

We premiere the 3rd release from the Dublin based label, Hotseat Recordings, as they welcome Peggs, a young DJ, producer and most recently a member of the new wave band which is taking the scene by storm, Nixer

Hotseat Recordings returns with their third release, welcoming Dublin based Peggs, who contributes two fantastic tracks to their Vol.2 EP. 

Gearóid Peggs aka Peggs is a 22-year-old Irish producer born and raised in the hills of Tallaght. He honed in on his craft and love of producing over a three-year stint at BIFE, being supervised and taught by the legendary pioneers of the Irish electronic scene Kenneth Harte, Sunil Sharpe and Doug Cooney. Small Bear returns with an emotive bass heavy tool for Hotseat Recordings fourth release. The Dublin based producer draws on garage and dubstep influences, showcasing a dark and murky but none the less alleviate as the track progresses.

Small Bear, Jimbo Jones, and Maurice Anthony Moran (aka Tran Neptunia Orbit) have all previously featured on previous releases. This time round High Fidelity, Small Bear, Jimbo Jones and Maurice Anthony Moran contribute tracks.

Gonna Leave U is a track I have been working on for over 2 years. Made during the early stages of lockdown, I had been listening to a lot of dubstep and post-dubstep, and for it I wanted to channel the energy of the likes of Pariah’s and Pangaea’s earlier tunes. 

Small Bear picks up the tempo with a percussive 2-step garage style beat, with a drone-y bassline and some dark organ stabs. The first half of the track builds in tension before the beat drops out momentarily. After this, in the second half, Small Bear flexes his production prowess sampling the song ‘Babe I’m Gonna Leave You’, which is a powerful vocal driven performance by Joan Baez. The beat returns explosively with her vocals soaring over it, taking us to the outro of the track.

This is is bass heavy goodness, from a really exciting Irish producer.

Trans-Neptunian Orbit
Irish born Maurice Anthony Moran is a Berlin-based artist captivated in the sound of electro and anything in between, from techno to breaks to IDM. Influences to Maurice’s sound pallet go back as far as Kraftwerk but most notably from Detroit electro kingpins Drexciya. Maurice started DJing in 2016 at Bray Institute of Further Education on the DJ techniques and music production course taught by Sunil Sharpe. During this time Maurice developed his skills as a DJ and began the learning process for production. Over the years Maurice had the privilege to play alongside the likes of Alienata, AIROD, The Exaltics, Radial and Umwelt, while playing the closing set for Fuinneamh festival in 2017. In order to expand his artistic reach, Maurice chose to wield 3 aliases. His main artistic identity is Maurice Anthony Moran but he has two accompanying aliases, Patient 808 and Trans-Neptunian Orbit. Patient 808 is a concept piece based in a post-apocalyptic world annihilated by an airborne virus, with fast-paced dark electro and techno the main focal point. For Maurice’s concepts based around space and time, he uses the alias Trans-Neptunian Orbit. The sound pallet includes fast-paced electro breaks with glitchy sound effects accompanied by acid basslines and soul drenching harmonies. Anything outside these sound brackets is released under Maurice's main musical identity, Maurice Anthony Moran.

@phil-galvin is a Dublin based DJ/Producer & label curator. 

He runs @393records & co-runs @rlsdrecords with @dougcooney .

Philip set out on this journey making Music & DJing in Dublin 10 years ago, more recently he had his debut release with the infamous Dublin label - RLSD records 001 VA 12' back in 2016. The track is titled 'North Strand'.

RLSD continues to provide a great platform for emerging young techno artists & also International artists, with a string of quality records put out in recent times coupled with the very popular podcast series as well as the  "Dark Stream" series put on during the summer lockdown, with Galvin firmly behind its progress.

In 2018, 393 records was launched with Philip putting down 2 tracks for 393x001,  on a split ep, This limited white label press got great acclaim & quickly sold out.

393 records is focusing on the more stripped back side of the house & electro sound. 

It has 3 quality releases to date with more planned for next year.

This EP is a concept expressing the emotions felt when frantically searching through space for new human life forms. “Journey To The Unknown” & “Warp Speed” perfectly capture the excitement of the unknown. The third and final track “No Sign of Life'', is an atmospheric & melancholic trip that conveys the emotions of finding no more than barren wastelands on the “Journey to the Unknown”.

Irish born Maurice Anthony Moran is a Berlin-based artist captivated in the sound of electro and anything in between, from techno to breaks to IDM. Influences to Maurice’s sound pallet go back as far as Kraftwerk but most notably from Detroit electro kingpins Drexciya. 
Maurice started DJing in 2016 at Bray Institute of Further Education on the DJ techniques and music production course taught by Sunil Sharpe. During this time Maurice developed his skills as a DJ and began the learning process for production. Over the years Maurice had the privilege to play alongside the likes of Alienata, AIROD, The Exaltics, Radial and Umwelt, while playing the closing set for Fuinneamh festival in 2017.

In order to expand his artistic reach, Maurice chose to wield 3 aliases. His main artistic identity is Maurice Anthony Moran but he has two accompanying aliases, Patient 808 and Trans-Neptunian Orbit. Patient 808 is a concept piece based in a post-apocalyptic world annihilated by an airborne virus, with fast-paced dark electro and techno the main focal point. For Maurice’s concepts based around space and time, he uses the alias Trans-Neptunian Orbit. The sound pallet includes fast-paced electro breaks with glitchy sound effects accompanied by acid basslines and soul drenching harmonies. Anything outside these sound brackets is released under Maurice's main musical identity, Maurice Anthony Moran.

For Hotseat Recordings’ second release, Trans-Neptunian Orbit has stepped up with a 3 track, Electro influenced masterclass EP. Trans-Neptunian Orbit joined the Hotseat Family for our first release, with the contribution of “10 Years From Now” which was incredibly well received.

IN THE HOTSEAT | DUVZ

Dj &  Producer from Dublin with a taste for the darker side of things combining elements of EBM and Techno in both his dj sets and productions, taking influence from the likes of Slam, Inhalt Der Nacht, Cleric, Surgeon and more.

Duvz has put a lot of time into crafting out his own unique sound, having completed courses with Doug Cooney in Real Sound Ireland, The Sound Training College & Will Kinsella's Elevator Program, and winning the Soma Records x Splice Producer Challenge in 2019, with his original track "Enough". 

Having already played support to acts such as Hybrasil, Moduse, Dj Deece, Bowsie and Felix da Housecat in venues such as Earth Nightclub Drogheda, The Sound House, The Wright Venue and Flame Festival, as well as having his own radio shows on Phever.ie and HouseTech Radio, Duvz began running his own events under his Platform Dublin brand in late 2019, hosting people such as SLV (DE), Endlec & Ôneyra to date with plenty more still in the pipeline for after lockdown.
