Phonique returns to Bar 25 Music with the new release, this time made in collaboration with Bolivian-born and Brazil-based artist Bakka. To date, Bakka has released music on many of the industry's most respected labels including This Never Happened, Sprout, Armada, Ministry Of Sound, Sony Music, Bunny Tiger, and many others. We are glad to have him and Phonique with their ¨Spektre¨ EP on the label.

The record contains two original tracks — ¨Spektre¨ and ¨Beat Frequency¨, both have some sort of weird "afro-non-afro" sound mixed with strong bass-lines and deep melodic sounds. As Bakka explains, “it was made to be played on any kind of set, but the main idea was to play them live with the analog equipment.” Tracks was recorded using Moog Subsequent 25, Moog Subharmonicon, Moog Little Phatty, Roland TR8, Korg Volca, Novation Peak, Roland TB-3. The titled original track is complemented with a remix by a prolific Greek producer and “All Day I Dream” resident — DSF.

John Monkman's 'Entropy' is the first of two singles to come on his Beesemyer label this summer. London-based Monkman is a notable presence in the house & techno scene with releases on labels like Ellum Audio and Kompakt. He is a renowned studio wizard who has also worked on music with legends
like Bryan Ferry while taking his ever-evolving audio-visual, live set everywhere from Warung Beach Club to Glastonbury. His lush textured and detailed beats have given him plenty of Beatport chart success and this new single is likely to do the same.

The multi-layered 'Entropy' is an edgy and futuristic cut. The drums make for a heavy groove while a whole world of malfunctioning machines, withering synths and smeared pads bring the drama. The ever-evolving track is evocative of a cosmic battle in deepest darkest space and is sure to bring some real drama to the dance floor.

TAU label heads Adana Twins are accomplished German tastemakers. Their cultured sounds often delve into deep,
dark, emotionally-charged territory whether rooted in house, tech or nuanced retrofuturism. Their music has come on the likes of Afterlife, Diynamic and Watergate while they are long-time favourites on the global underground club and festival circuit who play everywhere from Ibiza to Tokyo via New York and Brazil. Vital veteran, Applied Magic label founder and Berlin-based talent Aera has more than two decades' worth of experience crafting inspired tracks for some of the scene's finest labels. Here, he flips 'Darkness' into an eerie and stripped-back minimal cut with a rumbling low end and haunting synth patterns that bring a twisted edge to rousing vocals.
