Paco Osuna's Mindshake record label presents a special release featuring two techy remixes of Basement Jaxx's 1997 classic 'Fly Life'.

First of the remixes is by Project00, which is the collaborative alias of Paco Osuna and Fer BR. Second of the new versions is a solo rework by Paco Osuna.

One of Spain's most iconic electronic music artists, Paco Osuna is one of the country's most accomplished DJs and respected producers. Having travelled the world to play headline sets at festivals and clubs, he has also released music on labels ranging from Richie Hawtin's Minus to John Digweed's Bedrock.

Fer BR is a fellow Spaniard, who is well known as a solo producer who boasts releases on a broad cross section of labels including techy tracks on Adam Beyer's Truesoul and house focused cuts on Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird.

Project00 is a shared alias used for when Paco Osuna and Fer BR collaborate, and it's usually focused towards techno tracks with driving energy and jackin' grooves.

The release opens with the dark atmosphere and hypnotic groove of the Project00 remix, which blends immersive hypnotics with fast-flowing percussion. Paco Osuna's solo remix takes a deeper approach to deliver a tech house version that's perfect for the dance floor.

Moon Harbour regular Lorenzo De Blanck is back on the label to drop another of his steamy and standout tracks. The brilliant 'Bass Bass' does exactly what it says on the tin - it is a compelling house cut with a heavy but funky low end. Loopy vocals repeat the title to drive crowds wild while zippy synths weave their way in and out next to scattered percussion and quirky melodic details. It's a lively tune, full of fun and with some almost church-like chords finishing it off in a rousing fashion.

UK based duo Vibe Killers deliver two dance floor focused house cuts on Hot Creations subsidiary, Hottrax.

Our next release on Roushlabel comes from the increasingly popular Bassel Darwish. The Distance Music frontman has amassed an impressive amount of high-quality labels on reputable labels over the last few years and his own label is really picking up momentum too. His 'Bring Down' EP consists of two big originals and a remix from Madrid-born producer FreedomB. The title track opens the release with a sophisticated groove. Built around a weighty sub bassline and an undulating beat with a subtle level of vocal presence, it finds itself in amply sufficient vibe building territory and would suit daytime terrace atmospheres perfectly due to it's stripped back and 'easy to move to' approach. Next up, 'Code' takes things up a few gears in the energy department. An uptempo stripped back dancefloor pleaser, carrying with it a rumbling low-end, hooky vocal and finespun melodic presence. Another quintessentially groovy number with more underground intensity, perfectly capable of cranking up the heat in the peak hours of any party. Last but not least, FreedomB's remix of 'Code'. Keeping the focus on the track's ambience, the substituted bassline and clever use of hypnotic effects in the transitional phases give it a completely new identity. Not too dissimilar to the original, but, at the same time presenting standout differences which make for an enjoyable new experience of something that was already highly engaging... clever work from an intelligent creator!
