Hello, hello, hello people! 

And welcome, to the 7th instalment of our Midnight Gruuves Mix series.

For this instalment, we bring a rising talent from the Netherlands. 

He is a House/minimal DJ and producer, from Amsterdam, that will be headlining our next Midnight Gruuvin party on the 29th of July at Chic Night Club.

With his roots in the rich tapestry of the Amsterdam club scene, he has mastered the art of defining an original sound, already boasting a number of releases on international labels such as Berlin’s We_R House, Moan Recordings, and Avotre to name a few, which have, not surprisingly, secured him slots playing for prestigious events such as NOART. 

As a selector he is no stranger to the decks, serving powerful sets that present grooves with a minimalistic touch across renowned clubs in Europe. 

He’s set for another year of exciting releases with Meteora EP coming out 19th of August, so definitely keep an eye out!

Midnight Gruuves 007 - Robin Fett

Rendr : Sound Pursuit are a Cheshire based project consisting of Swift, Tabs & Jayro, the alias formed from their label, Rendr Records. The trio recently signed to Sensory talent management for all there bookings. 

They draw influences from the ever present and growing deep tech/minimal house scene, describing their sound as upbeat driving minimal house made for the dance floor, mirroring the ‘Rendr’ sound.

Over the past 18 months the trio have gone from strength to strength supporting artists such as Dyed Soundorom, Ricardo Villalobos, Darius Syrossian, Fabe, Djoko, Janeret, Demarzo, Aron Volta and many many more. 

Rendr : Sound Pursuit have spent the majority of 2022 with a busy tour schedule, consisting of over 25 gigs from places such as Mint Warehouse main room all the way to their first overseas gig in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. Also having several appearances at festivals such as hosting their own stages at Into The Woods Festival & Leeds, all in between headlining & supporting various different club nights up and down the UK.

The trio have been spending more time in the studio this year working on releases together after previous success in solo releases aswell as new projects for Rendr, with there label roster already having well established artists signed, such as Djebali, De La Swing, Rossi, Oden & Fatzo, Fabe, Sidney Charles, Casey Spillman, Ray Mono and other industry heavyweights.

Close to Custom, From the dune grounds of Katwijk. A place where there really was no scene for electronic music.

In 2019 he decided to take the time to develop yourself and thus become a better artist. Making great music, producing and sharing with each other again, because that's really what it's all about. The result came quickly, because all three men releasing their own work on established labels these days.

As a resident DJ and host of Reset, Close to Custom played at a numerous club nights, boat- and afterparties. Without doubt, these nights inspired him to fully focus on the future, and develop his own production which now resides into a rolling minimal house sound, mainly driven by fast rolling grooves catchy hooks and deep bass sounds. His energetic character bring some no-nonsense rhythm workout business to every dance floor.

This mix contains a blend of track he is playing out alot at the minute and some unreleased Rendr bits aswell. Enjoy :)
