What a great track, so uplifting musically yet with thoughtful lyrics that makes at least me wonder what I'm going to do when I grow up (still!) :-) . So interesting to hear how your voice has matured during the 10 years I've had the pleasure to know your music and those unique lyrics. Great tasty percussion and production from Bryan, I look forward to the album. And big plus for the Caravanserai-inspired cover. Top top!

I have to agree with Mats' great observations. I always remarked on your visual lyrics, here you conjure scenes of everyday life that are worth noticing but normally go unseen. Great bounce yet so reflective. Your vocal range seems much wider now. I'm counting the days til the album is out!

For this composition, I use the Tembung scale (C, Db, F, G, Ab.) is the second main pentatonic mode of the pelog scale and is obtained by treating the third and seventh of the pelog scale as auxiliaries. Tembung has a very similar profile to the Japanese kumo hoshi koto scale. Origen: Indonesia. Used in Gamelan music.
