With his roots firmly planted at the forefront of electronic music, he is the epitome of a true pioneer. Bit by the bug at a very young age, he found himself drawn to the captivating sounds of synths and drum machines. Morel’s urge to learn and create became undeniable, and it wasn’t long before he found himself deeply immersed in his passion, leading him to discover his purpose.

Little did he know, his newfound obsession would eventually evolve into a career beyond his wildest dreams.

Sheer curiosity is what guided him to discover the craft. An insatiable desire to master it is what helped him uncover his gift. A gift that would land him his first global hit record, leading him to shine a light on an impressive list of undiscovered talent. Morel's dedication in the studio and his natural-born skills with sound resulted in countless dance floor classics, quickly making him a permanent fixture in the musical libraries of DJs around the world.

With Morel’s performances at some of the hottest spots on the planet to his prolific and consistent work as a label owner and manager for his own Groove On Records, he has no plans on stopping there. Under his secondary label II.0, Morel continues the theme of exploring new grounds, moving forward as he evolves his signature sound. 

Expanding his creative horizons has only broadened his spectrum in the field of electronic music, giving him the freedom to push his vision in unique and creative directions. Fueled by his genuine love for music, there’s no doubt Morel will continue to grow both behind the decks and in the studio, captivating present and future generations of music lovers while maintaining his place as one of electronic music’s most everlasting artists.

DJ Minx was inspired to spin at The Music Institute, where some of Detroit’s leading dance music DJs helped to hone her skills.

For two years she engineered and hosted “Deep Space Radio,” an electronic music show on Detroit’s WGPR radio station. She also voluntarily hosted a weekly radio program at the University of Canada on CJAM 91.5 FM called “Steamy Windows,” and later became a resident of world-renowned Club Motor in Hamtramck. In 2000 she was a featured performer at the first Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and has since become a regular fixture at Movement.

In December 1996 Minx founded Women on Wax, a collective of female DJs from the Metro Detroit area. From then on, she worked with promoters and DJs across the country to solidify the career of several top female DJs and singers.

In 2001, Minx established her own record label called Women On Wax Recordings, which has become a platform for her own productions (including the 2003 classic, “A Walk In The Park”) and outlet for local talent. Minx expanded her musical majesty by creating a sub-imprint of the label called W.O.W. B.A.M. (Women On Wax Bangin’ Ass Music), and continues to collaborate with, produce on, and remix for a number of labels.

Currently on the Liaison Artists roster, Detroit’s “First Lady of Wax” is going strong after nearly three decades of DJing and continues to play in cities across the U.S. and around world. She was recently named one of the “20 Women Who Shaped the History of Dance Music” by Mixmag and one of the “Best house music DJs of all time” by TimeOut New York. In 2018, she was presented with the Spirit of Detroit Award for “exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the quality of life.” In 2020, she launched Behind The Grüv, an online store that sells high-quality, reasonably priced casual wear, fit for lounging, outdoor events and working out.

One can only imagine what other paths Minx will explore in the years to come.

As well as boasting a number of excellent releases under his own name, he also continues to put out a number of top-quality work under the alias of Ohmme. But his unwavering determination to push boundaries sets him apart from the others and his creativity span far beyond the music that’s brought him to international acclaim. In the last 15 years, Olivier wrote several songs for mainstream artists, top-selling video games, Hollywood box office movies, and composed the entire soundtrack to a full length feature film and multi award-winning horror movie 'The Red Man'.
Alongside his long time friend and partner John Acquaviva, he co-ran independent label Definitive Recordings from 2006 to 2016. Launched originally in 1991 by John Acquaviva, Richie Hawtin and Karl Kowalski, Definitive represented the housier side of the electronic empire that Hawtin and Acquaviva started with Plus 8 Records in 1990, and after a brief hiatus, John Acquaviva re-launched Definitive in 2005 with Olivier as his main artist and A&R, seeking and presenting the latest emerging sounds and talent to the world via a reputable, consistent, and trust- worthy platform.
With this impressive career achievements and a relentless work ethic for touring, Olivier is also known around the world for his exhilarating DJ performances that combine a heavy dose of groove inside an inspired blend of melodic flavors, demonstrating his talent behind the decks with an undoubtable versatility, adaptability, and headlining some of the world’s most iconic venues and events.
