Much like your beloved family feline, House Cat (AKA Lachlan Massey-Slee) will reel you in with his loveable charm but always leave you wanting more.
If you are reading this you have no doubt seen his name painted on many a line up, with an impressive resume including festivals and venues such as Falls Festival, Beyond the Valley, Revolver, the Third Day, New Guernica and Killing Time (and Bloom, obviously).
Coming from a musical background of playing guitar, drums and bass for 12 years, as well as producing for 6 and DJing for 5 it’s no surprise House Cat knows his shit.
Throughout this mix you will be reacquainted with the style you all know and love with an eclectic assortment of jackin, classic, deep and disco house.

House Cat is our latest addition of young Australian talent. At the ripe age of 23 and hailing from Geelong Australia, our demos inbox blew up when he sent over a bunch of tunes. Picking our 3 favourites and creating his first E.P. We couldn’t get over the creativity involved and the expertly executed productions. Mixing a sense of safe house drums with wild festival instrumentation he has created fresh unique music in a world of copycats. El Tonto was inspired by a song that he heard at Beyond the Valley which he never rediscovered. With the man himself stating the song's feeling relates to "Alone in Death Valley with 24 lagers, I'm stuck out in the desert but I have a slab, so I'm fine for now". Classic aussie doofer, we love it, and we can't wait to get back to a doof to hear these gems. House Cat… Equal parts man, musician, and beer, all summing up to equal one pretty average (but very enthusiastic) artist. 
	
Active on the scene since 2017, Mr Cats personal taste in music is largely centred around a mish-mash of all things house, disco, breaks, and rave (if you're looking for consistency, here isn't a good place to start), so when seeing him in his natural environment, expect to hear a plethora of 909 drums, funky bass-lines, and as his Dad would say… “repetitive music that should’ve stayed buried in the last century”. 
	
Over the course of these very interesting and sometimes (oftentimes) hazy years, the cat has some how managed to claw his way into some of Australia's largest venues and festivals, such as Beyond the Valley, Falls Festival, and Revolver Upstairs.
	
Not just a pretty face, House Cat is also a pretty good producer! Forging his way into the House scene by utilising his 10+ years of experience playing guitar, bass, and drums to create his signature blend of mediocrity and Ableton. Despite this, somehow his music has caught the eye of labels such as HOUZ, Baikonur recordings, and Rave Residence, in addition to garnering support from some of dance musics biggest artists (DJ snake, Ritchie Hawtin, Shiba San, and Format:B spring to mind).   

Minimal skill, maximum passion, Never forget others, Always forget your headphones. These are the words that drive the Cat.
