Who actually is Susan? We don’t know but whoever ‘he’, ‘she’ or ‘it’ is, the quest for their identity is causing seismic waves of consistently hot and unique records - Which we’re okay with to be

This second release from ‘Who’s Susan’ delivers something different from their last and is one bound to reach plentiful dance floor's and parties alike, just in time for summer. “When She's Sports Casual” is a spicy four track split EP from Lofi raw house OG, Raär and Swansea based don, Rick Sheen. This feature Premiere’s the welshman's B1 cut ‘Sports Casual’ and blow me down, it’s a belter - In a causal kinda way. 

The casualness of 'Sports Casual' gives you a moment to take a whiff of fresh air. The xylophonic drops resemble the sweat that slowly makes its way down your freshly ironed tank top. Once you have gathered your senses, you just casually keep running up that hill until you peak. Rick’s tunes are both a motivation and an ode to anyone who has ever doubted the sexiness of hot pants and vintage velour bomber jackets. Combine that with a ‘stache and a pair of sunglasses a mid ’80s porn director would wear and you are the disco ball of all disco balls.

Pépe joins the Lobster fam after a stunning, twinkling EP of miniature electro & house for Renascence. Taking aim at wider sonic territory, Lemon Fanta showcases the Valencia producers multi-floral sound palette across three shifting times and moodscapes.
Rainfall (Pts I & II) is the long and winding A-side. Sounding like a mid-noughties extended piano house number that could have landed squarely on Running Back, this is a reality-squeezing, rainstick-baiting slab of late eve euphoria. Hand-slapped congos pop under timba, claps and a translucent drum machine bedrock. A warm vibes closer and emotionally charged night ended.
Title track Lemon Fanta ups the zest with an ante-kicked 'n' stepped whizz through stomping drum machine programming and overdriven square-wave basslines, all preceded by enveloping filter-chords and a chatter Spanish lilt.

This Melbournian is no stranger to floor-filler deep house with proper tunes released on labels like Nerang, Bon Appetit, Tiger Tapes and Clipp.art to name a few but takes immense steps forward with ‘I Know EP’. Third and closing track, ‘All that’s inside me’ is tuned for the clubs with prominent grooves on the bassline, shimmering arpeggios, and crisp hi-hats that work as engines to keep you dancing through the night. Exquisitely layered with spacey chords to get lost to and reverberating vocal loops that cut in and out of the track like club lights intermittently flickering onto the heads and abled bodies on the dance floor.
