Italian western music mix with Mexican folk, Monte Cazazza and Silver Apples. We think nothing before 1980 from the soundtracks. 

This was a rough representation of the mix that was played live - the live version running on into French Cinema Lounge and AfroFunk, Afrobeat and Haitian and Exuma spirituals. 

Spoons was put together especially for the opening night of a film and music festival in Poland - the Xparty. An Xpat festival designed to show case the creative xpat community in Krakow.

It was/has only been played live once.

Different Volumes Produce Different Results.

Infrequent exposure to high doses of nitroglycerin can cause severe headaches known as "NG head" or "bang head". These headaches can be severe enough to incapacitate some people; however, humans develop a tolerance to and dependence on nitroglycerin after long-term exposure. Withdrawal can (rarely) be fatal; withdrawal symptoms include headaches and heart problems and if unacceptable may be treated with re-exposure to nitroglycerin or other suitable organic nitrates.

For workers in nitroglycerin (NTG) manufacturing facilities, the effects of withdrawal sometimes include a "Monday morning headache" in those experiencing regular nitroglycerin exposure in the workplace, leading to the development of tolerance for the vasodilating effects. Over the weekend, the workers lose the tolerance and, when they are re-exposed on Monday, the drastic vasodilation produces tachycardia, dizziness, and a headache

We were invited to play for Garage Helsinki UG 07/03/2015.

We took the wrong hard drive to the gig. It missed the Watersons track.
Here is a revisit to the set played with the original folk opening we had intended.
That's the only difference between the live and this live revisit.

Sadly we were not able to include the blinding terror of realising we had the wrong one on stage.

Track Information:

64 Tracks were used - some, many times.

This mix spans approximately three hundred years. The oldest track being Instruments of Joy sung by The Watersons. The recording of the hymn itself is from 1977.

"Presumably of eighteenth century composition, survived among a few country choirs, chiefly in Devon and Cornwall. The Watersons learnt their version from an old (1934) BBC recording of the Mabe Male Voice Choir, from the Penryn district of Cornwall. The vicar of Mabe reported: “The choir sings as their ancestors did. Such music as they have is in manuscript. They stand in a circle, the leader gives out the first line, and off they go, full tilt. They more or less make up their own harmonies.” an 18th century hymn from Cornwall."

The oldest recording used in the mix is from 1953.

The newest track is from 2015.
