Housemeister´s new Album nr.11 is his 3rd conceptalbum.
After OP-1 Album on Boysnoize Records in 2013, wich was only produced with the Teenage Engineering OP-1 in Airplanes and Hotels and in 2015 the "Game Over" Album only made with an Game Boy + Nanoloops on Thailand´s Islands released on his own Imprint AYCB,
comes now the  "Lo-Fi Nator" Album only produced with again Teenage Engineering´s
Pocketoperator PO-33 K.O. Sampler and TX-6 Minimixer, recorded live directly to the USB Stick. Housemeister loves challenges! This challenge for Housemeister was here, just using various old records, record them into the K.O. Sampler, edit them inside, sequence it, making patterns and recording the tracks live with punch in effects , this time, where the baltic eats germany, on the beautiful Island Usedom.
The Result is again completly different, to everything Housemeister released before.
The 8 tracks are all  very slow, between 95-110Bpm in Lo-fi House; Lo-fi Hip hop Style.
Experimental, inspiring, interesting and different! This Album is also available on Bandcamp as a very limited Vinyl, only 20 pieces in clear vinyl numbered.

Theres a kick- it's big, it hits your chest, it almost makes you sneeze because the bass has that one special frequency that's resonant with your nose and it makes it tickle.  The kick is distorted- it's not clipping, its not a bad distorted, but it's hot, that hot that sounds like what "electrified air" must sound like.  There's a groove- the snares hit in unexpected places, but make a perfect pattern.  You glance across the room, maybe to your partner, maybe to no one at all, but you two step and nod with that universal nod people do in the club that says "OK, now we're getting deep."  There's a vocal sample- commanding, strong, maybe the guy who built Jack's house, only he's saying "You don't like this house."  But no, you really do like this house.  Your body is telling you so.

Kick, snare, hi hat, some crushed hits, a voice.  "DONTLIKE" is a work of alchemy by Housemeister, a hard, restrained, and maximally minimal single released 11 years after his first for Boysnoize Records.  Housemeister combines a few elements to make gold, and hopefully our description above says the rest.  Labelmates Cardopusher and Klienfeld give an acid and techno rework respectively, with Housemeister's finely tuned craftsmanship still working it's magic, and the 0010x0010 dark mix fast forwards the clock from 3am to 7am with no sleep in sight.   There's something distinctly Berlin feeling about this release, which isn't a surprise coming from Housemeister.  But it does attest to another sort of alchemy at work from the producer- capturing the energy of the city's nightlife and distilling it down to a few essential elements.  Just watch out for that kick.

The 5 course menu presented here with "STAND UP!" brings elements of Dance Mania, EBM, dizzying 90's techno and hot tape lo-fi minimalism that alone seem deceptively different, but as a whole create a darkly harmonious flavour for the season.

Deftly edited by Boys Noize, title track "STAND UP" finds firm footing in Detroit and Chicago from which it winds, shifts, builds and surprises, trading the repetitiveness of its influences for an evolving 6 minutes of club weaponry. "BØDYMVS1K" has Housemeister dropping a tough as nails, EBM arpeggio-led stomper to the mix-- the only track lacking the percussive groove found on the rest of the EP, but also marking a certain energetic peak.

The remainder of the EP takes us to the later hours, and is also where Housemeister's drum sequencing really shines. "Anark" departs into delirious, cavernous, and maddening techno, while "TAKE1BAB3" is a minimal lock-groove built around a hypnotizing and haunting vocal sample. The Dance Mania returns with the closer, "Come Back," which also serves as a synthesis of the EP's wider vision. Three minutes in, a single synth and some open hats lift the track to unanticipated dancefloor heights-- the night, apparently, is far from over. This is Housemeister's Berlin, after all.

Four years on since his latest full-length delivery, Housemeister punches back in with his eagerly awaited seventh studio album ‘Jetzt und in Zukunft’ (Now and in the Future) - an iron-clad eight-track package full with gritty industrial jams and wasteland-grown atmospherics primed for hi-NRG workouts and  total sweatbox war. Propelling  filtered effects, elliptic grooves and stretched-out samples, ‘Jetzt und in Zukunft’ is a solid chunk of molten metal to bite  into, sure to fracture some teeth along the way as its heavy kicks  catapulting  you headfirst into the thick of a raw night out in the sick, crime-plagued guts of the restless city.  It all starts with the title-track, a ruthless opener that sets the vibe for the whole trip ahead without further ado. Entangled acid skeins furl and unfold as gut churning 909 onslaughts, savage droney outbursts and skittish percussive jugglery merge into one helter-skelter avalanche of contradictory signals. ‘Modifizieren’ makes for a more easily identifiable jacking tune, bouncing to a playful and ever anarchic mash-up of obsessive vox stabs, saturated riffs and steadfast drum programming. Cranking up the heat levels to firestorm-hot, ‘Infizieren’ shall cut a path of absolute destruction on the dance floor, while the more rhythmically groomed ‘Kontrollieren’ lets the trampling and swinging artillery do the talk.  Exploring further intricate construction schemes, undisputed skull crusher ‘Manipulieren’ builds up slowly but surely, chopping and obliterating obstacles as they come for what ends up sounding like a nasty-minded walk in the techno park. Speeding up the 4/4 highway at much higher pace, ‘Inhalieren’ ushers its listener into an eerily binary world, halfway mystique-imbued territories and cut-throat, B movie-like ambiences. Larded with chimey slivers and arpeggiated synth shards, ‘Extrahieren’ shall bring crowds to a simmer effortlessly, while the album’s closing cut ‘Observieren’ injects some welcome breaks and sucker-punchy basswork for a hectic non-linear finish. With ‘Jetzt und in Zukunft’, Housemeister threads his way back to the source of his inimitably raw and spirited musical persona, as much as he opens up his craft to new directions and pathways, safe from the petrified standards of a scene too often inclined to rest on its wilted laurels.  Out exclusively on Bandcamp, the only place where artists earn money these days.
