The artist sums to his rich catalog a debut on Inner Shah, with the sole promise of delivering high quality music. The two tracks are a mix of melodic, progressive and organic, being hybrid and unique. 

To add extra flavor to this already special release, super stars Pedro Mercado and Ornery appear for the first time on the label for remix duties, providing each a beautiful revision of Marc's tracks under their creative visions.

Over the last ten years, Gumm graduated from being an active promoter hosting renegade parties in obscure public spaces to performing at Melbourne's biggest festivals, including Let Them Eat Cake, Pitch Music & Arts and smalltown. As co-founder of Melbourne brand Darklove, he hosted international acts The Drifter and Damon Jee to go with regular bookings supporting Maceo Plex, DJ Koze, Jennifer Cardini, Stephan Bodzin, Job Jobse, Ben Klock, ANNA, Folamour, Mind Against and more.

Not only is he regular in Melbourne clubs (Revolver Upstairs, Bourke Street Courtyard and Glamorama to name a few), but recent performances at Melbourne's leading festivals earmarked him as an act for the bigger stage. At the end of 2020, he tasted his first interstate booking when he was flown to Byron Bay to headline a 2021 NYE event.

His recent debut single "Struck", released on Berlin-based Ombra International, the in-vogue label run by indie-dance maestro Curses, served as a crucial entry point into the global scene. The single is a highly infectious dance cut designed to suck you into its dark disco inferno, catching the attention of the underground scene's leading players. With his recent sold-out headline show selling over 500 tickets, Gumm is well situated to be at the Melbourne forefront of a new, compelling global sound with roots in genres like nu-wave, indie-dance and nu-disco. 

About The edit : " Sassafras (aka. Josh my housemate) and I were returning from buying groceries and he asked what I thought about editing Kim Wilde - You Keep Me Hangin' On. We had spoken about writing some music together so it was a perfect chance to have a play. Sass' love for the original was contagious and I soon became attached myself. The process was incredibly enjoyable and the result is now one of my favourite projects."

Returning to Métrica, Bumppo & Philip Auster collaborate again, and deliver the wonderful Monstera.

Successful as individual artists - and also as a production team together, their releases have caused a fuss on Frau Blau, Moblack and here on Métrica.

'Monstera' is a tasty and quirky melodious affair, with its melancholic chords and electronica vibe, yet still remaining very much a dance floor track, with its sophisticated vibes, and coolness flowing throughout.

'Madly' retains the melodic elements yet goes tougher and darker, and we venture in to a wobblier soundscape for some late night madness. And we like it!

Remix time and Novakk, gets to grips with Monstera, and takes things in a bouncy indie dance vibe, as we are treated to a fine reinterpretation that packs a punch, and rounds off the EP wonderfully.

Dar Disku release their fourth installment of middle eastern records flipped for the dancefloor. Composed of two club-ready edits of popular music from the MENA region, the duo are building even more steam from their release of the egyptian classic 'Sahrany' (Tjade Edit) (Dar Disku 003) and Sidi Mansour (Moving Still Edit) (DD002). Played out across the world by the likes of DJ Seinfeld, Palms Trax, Hunee and more, these new edits re-imagine what life on an 80's gulf discotheque feels like. With their last two records receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Resident Advisor (Tracks of the Year), CRACK Magazine, Vice and Esquire, the duo are set to transport you into a forgotten era once more.

Side ‘B’ features a collaboration of two long-standing Dar Disku favourites, Dublin via Saudi Moving Still and Tjade from the Netherlands. Equally responsible for some of the biggest hits across the dance music scene in the last two months (Rush Hour chart topping ‘Koi Jaye and Sidi Mansour) the pair have collaborated to create the italo-esque edit of egyptian pop star Azza Kamal’s ‘Maadna Bkra’. The tape was originally found by Moving Still on a recent visit to his hometown and was later sampled to create the track. Azza’s iconic vocals echo throughout the track with the classic call and response found in the music from his era. Tjade’s signature drums paired with Jamal’s trademark arpeggiator bass create a dancefloor future classic. On a recent visit to the Gulf, Moving Still went on a treasure hunt through the markets of his home town. “ I hadn’t got a chance to listen to all of them but with the COVID-19 lockdow, I began to sift through my finds. The minute I heard Maadna Bukra I texted the label saying “you have no idea what I just found..”. As I got started I already visualised Tjade collaborating on it. Weirdly enough he got in touch and asked if I would be interested in working on an edit together. It’s so lovely to be able to work with someone you admire musically and lockdown shows us that you don’t have to worry about being in the same city. I always believed the two of us would end up working on a song together, and to put it out on a label I believe in and to be able to give back to the community is a wonderful privilege. “

In light of current worldwide events - the importance of togetherness, equality and diversity are more important than ever. Music is one of the tools that enable this and Dar Disku (together in agreement with Moving Still and Tjade) will be donating 50% of profits from the release directly to middle-eastern based charities.
