Truce delivers one for the ladies here! Already a club favourite ladies anthem every play in the clubs, Truce went classic old skool regenerating an absolute classic with a new breath of life. "Just Be Good to Me" is a 1983 single by The S.O.S. Band, written and produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. The single reached number two on the U.S. R&B chart, number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100, and number three on the dance chart that year. It was more successful in the UK where it peaked at #13.

First up on House Not House records is the powerful 3 track debut release from Karlton Phillips. Philips' whip-crack trap drums and gangsta rap vocals show the influence of his years producing trap, and he brings a roughed-up US hip hop meets UK house vibe to everything he touches. Ranging from the juddering stop-start riddims of the Is It VIP to the #emotional R'n'B flavours on the original vocal track You & Me, to the darkside trill-tech of Chain Hang, Philips debuts here with a bang. One to watch!

House Not Houseは第一弾リリースとして 、カールトン・フィリプスのデビュー作を発表。彼の数年にわたるトラップ制作は、ピシャッというドラムとギャングスタ・ラップのボーカルに聞くことができる。彼のトレードマークはUSヒップホップとUKハウスのいかついミックス。ギクシャクとしたリズムIs It VIPから、オリジナルボーカルを使ったYou & MeのエモいR&Bバイブ、Chain Hangのトラップとテクノの融合まで、様々なバラエティを見せる。まさに注目に値する新人だ。

Frankie $ - 100% Garage House Vol. III (100% Vinyl)

Niche – 北イギリスのSheffield市にあった伝説的なクラブ、同クラブが発祥地とされるベースラインの重い邪道ハウスといったジャンルの両方を指す。
当時のレジデントDJがB面やダークめなレコードを好み、他の箱と少し雰囲気が違ったらしい。治安の悪さも有名だった。97年にあるレジデントDJが、Todd TerryのSomething Going OnのUptown Remixをかけた。このリミックスはベースラインが重くかなりアグレッシブで、そこにいたクラバー狂ってDJに缶や瓶などをDJに投げつけた。悪い意味で投げたわけじゃない、とかいうのも少し理解しがたい話ですが、要はこのスタイルの曲は好評だった。これがSpeed Garageの誕生。同じ’97年に当時のマネージャーがクラブの手前で射殺された。
2001年に3万ポンドのサウンドシステムを導入。耳から血は出るらしい。薬をやってひたすらスピーカーの前に立つレーバーもたくさんいたらしい。
エントランスは板。
2005年に1億円相当のコストで摘発。SWAT系の警察400人とヘリコプター。
真のNicheはそこで終わったが、2006年と2010年の間、Speed Garageの子孫であるBasslineがまだはやっている。ロンドンではDubstepが同時進行で、BasslineはT2のHeartbrokenとDJ QのYou Wot以外はまったく流行らず。
最後にレコードでプレスされたのはNastee BoiのMussy Mad。同年、リーオープンしたNicheは刺殺でまた終わる。2010年以降はUKBという、さらにハイプで2-Stepに化けた形で進化。
2017年にまたリーオープンし、1年しないうちに刺殺でクローズ。
個人的に一番好きだった2006年―2010年のBasslineを厳選。
