.. and for the uninitiated, bloghouse (AKA “bloghaus”) is an umbrella term for a wide-spanning cultural movement that was simultaneously a party scene, a fashion trend and an all-encompassing lifestyle centered on a “very certain kind of dance music”.

Do you remember these? Gotta Dance Dirty, The Fresh Beat, Stereogum, HypeMachine?

Hell yeah we do, I think we all turned into online music hunters, laptop musicians & bloggers respectively craving the next Girl Talk mash-up or Mstkrft remix we could get our hands on, let’s also salute the pioneers, such as Ed Banger Records & the mighty one, A-Trak to name a coupla leading the packs.

After all, we really do owe it all to blog house it arguably predicted the way we currently use the internet to spread culture especially musical output versus our current relationship with selfies or streaming (each to their own). 

…but was it cool? shit yeah, it broke rules and started a movement, an experiment which is why we can celebrate the nostalgia and give one big round of applause to our guy Geordie, this is one for the books.

Curtis is a young name (sorry bout that) into the electronic scene, and started his career in 2018 as a fan, dj and collector of house, funk, boogie & disco music. In this short time, Curtis has cemented some familiar venues on the coast line as his second home playing to those & with that share the same rhythm, cadence & margarita energy.  

Having shared stages with Touch Sensitive, Jimmy 2 Sox & one half of Bag Raiders Curtis has the right tempo & strong vibe making him into a party specialist.

Another coastal talent we are happy to bring to you for those mid week disco pleasures, all 120 mins of it.
