After their Butterfunk EP from last year, @justsayfouk are back again with their new offering “Mating Call EP”. As the name suggests, this three track EP is made for the hot & heavy moments while dancing away, during those infinite summer days.

The title track “Mating Call” is a funky beast, driven by a very infectious bassline and live instrumentation, edging the line between disco and house, as has we have come to expect from the duo. The next track on the flip furthers the fact that this release is all about the groove. Housey vibes with a classic hint, Rhodes floating on a solid rolling funk bass. “Just Feel Good”? Yup!

Finally we come to “Down Below”. You might wonder “what’s down below?”. Well, there you can find a dreamy thumper, driven by the compact kick, repeating drone and deep bassline, while the synth pads in the middle tie it all together.

I have always been very open about how much I love and admire Sek as an artist. His first release on Large was in 2013 and since then he has been one of the strongest and most consistent members of our roster. He began working on this new EP in the fall of 2018 and it took us several weeks to narrow down the tracks that we both thought were the strongest. The final result? Three fantastic tracks to choose from all with that classic and authentic Sek style. I'm Thinkin' Uh is my personal favorite (so deep and groovy) but I will let you decide yours. Enjoy!

Kaleido is proud to welcome into the family the American producer ACG.
ACG is a Minnesota based Deep House guy that owns and operates the Open Sound label. He's not really the type to create some long rambling romantic dissertation on his history with music so that's all you get.
Back on Kaleido for a crackling remix our brother Intr0beatz, Reykjavik native Arsaell Thor Ingvason, whole life has been about the groove. From his earliest years delving into his father’s musical collecting and compositions, he first came to prominence as Intr0beatz back in the late ‘90s first as a turntablist, then as the beat producers behind the seminal 2000s Icelandic hip-hop group Forgotten Lores.
Since Half Time, Ingvason has been delving ever deeper into house music, over the alst few years releasing a slew of 12”s and EPs on various deep house labels such as Moment Cinetique, Dark Energy, Something Else, and Plastik People. Today, Intr0beatz has become a major fulcrum in Iceland’s recent house music revival both as a member of the BLOKK house music collective as well as playing and DJing in Europe and Japan.

Housepedia Music also features House DJs from across the world on its own podcast, Home Is Where House Is Playing, with the goal of providing a platform for DJs to share their love and vibe with the rest of the world.
